Gypsy the projectile is a WW2 50 caliber. Used in off shore target practice. Nice video.

Even though I looked like a dork, I had a great time with you my friend. Never was photogenic but you sure are. You ended up with a great week of detecting, 114 coins and some great cool stuff to boot wow. Ill probably hit that restaurant/bar again sometime in the fall and hope the water is calm enough to get in. Gypsy, you are one beautiful soul an I'm proud to call you a friend. WOW, Roman on U.S.soil. I thought finding Hammered silver on U.S. soil that Quarter hoarder crew did was incredible. You just beat them. Goes to show if you get your coil over it, you just don't know what's liable to come out of the ground.

First nice shout out to Phil Myers, I live on the east coast of Florida but the west coast beaches are beautiful, the waves looked brutal. I was happy for you when you came up with that silver bracelet, and nice save on that watch, I bet she was thrilled, but WOW just WOW on the Roman, I would die of excitement more so to find it here in Florida than in the UK! I guess that is why they call it the Treasure Coast! Congratulations! Now hopefully some government doesn't come and take it from you claiming it as some national Treasure! HH Amy

Never know what treasure can be found on beaches. Glad you havent given up on the AT series machines. They are still highly competitive against anything new, if you understand their language and know how to use it. :)
Wow those waves were really strong was they hard to stand in they looked strong enough to knock you down

Interesting about that Roman coin. It is known that the Phoenicians sailed to the Americas because a Phoenician coin was found with a map of the world that included the Americas. Not completely outside the realm of possibility.

There have been Roman coins found in Tx. down around San Marcus. There was a cache found several years ago there. To bad the waves were so rough I'm sure you missed finding a lot of treasures.
