really amazing video NotBae! but i had a hard time hearing/understanding what Zenkai said at times due to the mic quality, subtitles would be greatly appreciated in the future. thanks and keep up the good m2 content!
I can't tell you how many times I've gone back and forth about dedicating myself to Mewtwo because the community resources just haven't been there. Thank you so much for all the content you're providing. Keep pushing further!
I've always played smash bros by choosing whatever character I feel. Now that I've gotten better at the game, there's a real sense of satisfaction in learning a character's ins and outs. I first started main-ing mewtwo, only to find that Samus was my better half (especially since she got buffed lol). Mewtwo being my choice backup (even tho he's arguably much worse than samus) is more entertaining as I love the float-y mix-ups he's able to pull. His Up-B being a teleport only adds to the fun of mix-ups since I hate playing as Palutena. Long story short, thank you for existing, my mewtwo play has increased noticeably and now I find I open up with him against my friend's mains.
Hearing all this is amazing. As someone who mains Mewtwo I know he’s not the greatest, but damn I’m gonna keep going. And when if he does get buffed again, boy we’re all gonna be scary. Let’s go!
This was a high quality video! I love how there's no filler or unnecessary clips. I've been slowly figuring out Mewtwo's combos on my own, and I'm getting the hang of his versatile combo tree but I'm still struggling to land. Being so big and floaty with bad air acceleration is a brutal weakness... Landing with nair doesn't work against disjoints or attacks with invincibility, and teleporting back to stage only works so many times.
great work guys you can also talk about different baiting methods for Mewtwo. for example sometimes I'll go for a down smash in a lot of people don't realize how quick recovery it is and they'll rush in and I'll pull off a disable
In my opinion a great question to ask Zenkai would be: Since Mewtwo is great at both edgeguarding and ledgetrapping, when should you do which and why? I probably go for edgeguarding over ledgetrapping 80% of the time but i see Zenkai doing the opposite if not more.
I don't know how he would respond, but if I had to guess, ledge trapping is usually a safer, more reliable tactic than edge guarding. At the highest competitive level, maintaining stage control/neutral is huge, so if you can keep your opponents off stage without having to give those two qualities up, you should do that. I personally would suggest edge guarding when you believe you can get their stock/keep them off stage. Because the last thing you want is to go for an edge guard, fail, then lose stage control.
NotBae you are right, ledgetrapping would be the safer and more optimal choice while edgeguarding has more highrisk-highreward factor. Honestly edgeguarding just fits my playstyle better and it looks cooler imo.
Benzen mewtwo also doesn’t really want to get hit, and ledge trapping as said above is a safer option. It also is probably fairly match up dependent obv since some characters can’t be ledge guarded as easy
Great Mewtwo tips & knowledge. Keep’em coming! These videos are helping me get better with Mewtwo. I’m almost at Elite status, always been hitting the 5.7m number but drop games when I reach 6m. Have been winning consecutively as of late so thanks for the help!!!
Mewtwo is one of my all time favorites I haven’t really decided on a main yet but he’s a possibility But my favorite thing about him is how he falls on his butt after doing his second jump
I think pop up Nair works best when you get the foot hitbox of Nair only, not the hand one. So it's more reliable on shorter characters and in tech chase situations where the opponent is on the ground already
That tail as a faulty hurt box is still an issue. Also, that tail hit box can miss even if its animation lands on the opponent (depends on opponents too - is a hit or miss). Glad Mewtwo is getting a lot of attention even when it was versatile upon SSBU release.
That's the best thing I could ask, yt smash channel on mewtwo, amazing videos and gameplay, could you make subtitles at least for your guides? thank you and good luck for your next videos!
With Mewtwo's FCSB > PVC UTilt > Bair > Confusion > DJ Dair You Can Replace The DJ Dair With DJ Uair Which Can Combo Into Fair For A Kill You Can Skip The Confusion And Do DJ Uair Straight Away To Combo Into Bair You Can Have Confusion Combo Into DJ Fair You Can Delay DJ Dair For The Spike Hit Box Instead Of The Upwards One You Can Get The Opponent To 30% And Start The Combo With Backwards UTilt (Skip The FCSB) You Can Have UTilt (Forwards) Combo Into UTilt (Backwards) To Start The Combo (Inconsistent) You Can Combo The Bair Into DJ Bair (Which Can Get You A Down Air If You're Lucky) And Disable Makes This Combo Easier To Land
As a Mewtwo main, I can confirm that I don't like AT ALL playing against Yoshi or Falco (Link neither but I don't find him as frustrating for some reason)
Hey man, been following ur videos for a long time, they are really good. But Im having some trouble doing the “delayed nair - ff” and the “rar nair - grab/up smash”. Idk if u got some tips to get them correctly but i’ve found that air momentum is key for both of them. To keep holding in the direction you jumped before and after fastfalling. I hope i made myself clear and im not just writing shit. Thanks for all ur effort put in these videos!
Run forward, do a quick turnaround so your character skids on the ground, jump before the animation is over, hold forward again, and input your aerial. You should be jumping backwards now.
Down Tilt isn't the only move to pressure shield. I'd argue that nair and fair are much better at pressure. Fair can be safe if spaced well and nair can cross up on shield.
Honestly, the interview felt one-sided, but still awesome content. Maybe another question to probe for a bit more or even something as agreement or a short comment if you ever do other interviews.
I intentionally made the interview only about Zenkai. I feel like if you watch my channel enough, you already know where i stand on a lot of these questions, so i didn't see a point in me responding to his responses. i wanted it to feel like an interview, rather than a discussion.
"Disable effectively is mainly just a vibe check."
I died laughing
This was a very helpful guide
I really cannot explain how excited I am to finally have a Mewtwo content creator
Yeah NotBae is such a good entertainer!
Goddamn bro you got zenkai on here
really amazing video NotBae! but i had a hard time hearing/understanding what Zenkai said at times due to the mic quality, subtitles would be greatly appreciated in the future. thanks and keep up the good m2 content!
Yeah that's my bad. I recorded him through discord and OBS and I didn't do a good sound check. appreciate the feedback!
7:54 looks amazing! Definitely gonna have to learn this.
works against nps for sure.

I just started playing mew2 two days ago and I love this character so much.

Mewtwo's birthday in Australia right now. Its pretty cool!

Awesome! Only just found your channel today about Mewtwo and super hyped to see another video! Lots of cool stuff here.
I’ve been playing as new two since this morning so I can have more skill than just playing as Kazuya, this really helps!
great work guys you can also talk about different baiting methods for Mewtwo. for example sometimes I'll go for a down smash in a lot of people don't realize how quick recovery it is and they'll rush in and I'll pull off a disable
bluestar4u I do this a lot too. Works a lot on little Mac or captain falcon
Your videos help me so much playing mewtwo did really well at local tournament from your videos!
Love the video man! Watch zenkai and great to see him supporting the channel with all your shoutouts to his gameplay!
YESSSS, THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I NEEDED AFTER THAT MEWTWO GUIDE. THANK YOU. Also love the music you use.
Thank you for this video, greetings from Perú, big fan here
I feel like with mewtwo you can improvise some of your own combos more easily than most.

3:53 now that's what im talking about i love doing that. And yes its very precise but when you get it it's an instant kill guarantee for up smash
This is your best video yet!
DUUUDEE I HEARD THE TWINLEAF TOWN REMIX AND I ALREADY KNEW THE MUSIC CREDIT HAHA. But still a wonderful video NotBae as always, so thank you!!
Thx man this video really improved my mewtwo thx

Mewtwo is one of my all time favorites
I haven’t really decided on a main yet but he’s a possibility
But my favorite thing about him is how he falls on his butt after doing his second jump
This vid was really well made and insightful, awesome job dude keep it up
Also, great taste in music u got there
Why is your channel so good
Really good video! I appreciate the work put into this
5:47 my guy really just killed a man with a double back flip
Thank you so much! Picked up mewtwo a few days ago and this helps a lot! Now I need a vid like this for ROB lol
Love the Mewtwo content keep it up!
Not gonna lie, I have the My Smash Corner video feel from this video. It's very good.
This was horizon broadening 🤍 Thank you.
Gotta learn from the best
Where have you been all my life
super high quality vid
Ur really underated

Great video buddy
NotBae coming in clutch like always
I find it intresting that almost every mewtwo player thinks the mu spread is different.

Still waiting for the day the hand hitboxes on nair autolink instead of sending the opponent past you
The best Character in Smash.
You help me a lot with my Mewtwo
13:24 *GOTCHU*
Good Video!
Quality video my guy
With Mewtwo's FCSB > PVC UTilt > Bair > Confusion > DJ Dair
You Can Replace The DJ Dair With DJ Uair Which Can Combo Into Fair For A Kill
You Can Skip The Confusion And Do DJ Uair Straight Away To Combo Into Bair
You Can Have Confusion Combo Into DJ Fair
You Can Delay DJ Dair For The Spike Hit Box Instead Of The Upwards One
You Can Get The Opponent To 30% And Start The Combo With Backwards UTilt (Skip The FCSB)
You Can Have UTilt (Forwards) Combo Into UTilt (Backwards) To Start The Combo (Inconsistent)
You Can Combo The Bair Into DJ Bair (Which Can Get You A Down Air If You're Lucky)
And Disable Makes This Combo Easier To Land
zenkai sounds way diff than i expected
As a Mewtwo main, I can confirm that I don't like AT ALL playing against Yoshi or Falco (Link neither but I don't find him as frustrating for some reason)

isn’t it crazy your first video you said you weren’t in the same category as zenkai.... but he’s in one of YOUR videos now ..
I thought of a Mewtwo combo but it’s so easy to break out
I love you so much
Here is a really big lie: No Marios were harmed in the making of this video.
What did Zenkai say Disable was? I could understand what he was saying in that answer
6:36 what does it mean to have a frame 1 invincibility? Are character that have this invincible for 1 frame after being attacked?
How are you turning around so quickly
2:07 you killed at 35 percent
Ayeeeee
What is an instant reverse aerial rush? I’m also having trouble getting a combo from the down tilt, neutral air, and dash attack
Run forward, do a quick turnaround so your character skids on the ground, jump before the animation is over, hold forward again, and input your aerial. You should be jumping backwards now.
uncharged shadow ball can give you a grab now don't know if that worked before 8.0
ok didn't watch the full video you did watch it
What direction does MewTwo's Nair send you?
Either side
@@maryballesteros2045
I wanted to find out if there was a way to know which direction it'd send you
thank you papa bae
I don't know how to respond to this name...
Ye
I think his worst is Unova FOR SURE
My senpie can we 1 v 1?
Do the up air combos work after 8.00
I ask alot-l yes! The percentage windows are a little smaller, but all combos here still work
NotBae thanks great to see u responding on videos. See you on the mewtwo discord love the content
8:04
How do you keep shield pressure safe? Dtilt tip of tail doesn't combo and base isn't safe on shield.
Down Tilt isn't the only move to pressure shield. I'd argue that nair and fair are much better at pressure. Fair can be safe if spaced well and nair can cross up on shield.
@@NotBae thanks!
10/10 better than bayo
who disliked this wtf??
Third
