of his craft..... THANKS !!!
Glad you enjoyed!
Another great video with My good friend Captain Randy Towe.
Mike's road trip 2017 thanks for watching
Awesome to see the behind the scenes on rod building
Excellent video!! He kinda looks like Bill Dance
Don’t forget to mark your spine first and align your reel seat. Your reel seat and guides should be on the same side of the rod. This video shows marking the spine after the reel seat is already glued in place.
He used rod bond so he can spin it around for a couple hours before it starts setting too good. I don't even worry about the spine i just build on the straightest axis.
Very informative'' almost ready to slap a couple of them puppy's together myself',. thank's for the video Capt',. 🐟....🐟....🐟
patrick Bragdon appreciate the kind words
great vid!!!
Christopher C thanks 🙏🏻
Thanks for the video
Nice!
For a heavy rod for tarpon, shouldn’t the guides be double foot?
👍🏻
I sanded the rod and painted it with a different color, I just don’t know what type of clear to add to the blank , should I apply a thin coat of flex coat?
@Capt. Randy Towe
Check the channel we mentioned in our comment below. Captain Randy is a rod building guru and can guide you in the right direction.
Where can I buy the eva foam and the reel seat you used in the video?
Look up Captain Randy Towe on IG and he should be able to point you in the right direction. He has a store in Islamorada as well and may be able to sell you the parts you are looking for
