The deputy/ hopefully the attorneys too, tell everyone upfront. Judge Boyd’s probations are hard. They are meant to be hard. She’s going to make it your choice, if you stay out of jail, it’s her way. If she can’t make you law abiding, she will give you the punishment you signed up for. Rehabilitation or punishment but justice always.

The man was definitely drugged. She stole his car, took his money, and he was very ignorant of what’s really going on out there. God only knows what exactly happened in this situation..but I could see the despair on her face as Judge Boyd took away her easy cushy under the table job as a “nanny” and listed a whole page of conditions. But if she really has a car and a good license, unlike MANY standing before this judge in her position, she’s very very lucky. At least she can get herself to 90 meetings in 90 days, and at least she can find an actual job and get back and forth to work!

She will be back. She will fail. She said she is "not the person she used to be" but straight out LIED to the judge when Judge Boyd asked her if she was clean or not. I mean really?!?!?.....smoking pot the DAY BEFORE you stand before a judge on DRUG CHARGES to tell them you are on the straight and narrow? She also threw her PD under the bus when she said she told her she smoked pot. if the PD knew she would test dirty, she would have worded her declaration differently.

She doesn't know how lucky she is that she has so much family and support. I had and still have none of that. Went from a homeless addict to clean 5 years and graduated the toughest program in my state, two years long, got a job. A real one, not baby sitting and a place and have my son who I care for on my own. He's 10 with autism. His dad was killed in a car accident when our son was only 5 months old. And my only family. My best friend, my mom, died in March of this year. I do it all on my own. She's so lucky. Grow up.

Much love to you!! I lost my mom in May. Both of my kids (11 and 12)are ADHD and have been labeled high functioning spectrum. It is so much harder than ppl think it is. Dealing with IEPs and broken ed systems. NOBODY cares about your son more than you do. I have found that I ALWAYS have to fight for my kids to receive proper FAPE. Im sure you are doing the same. Keep your head high and never stop eding yourself on your rights and what programs are available. School districts can be daunting.
My heart broke reading your post. Like you I dont have any support from family. My sister (married but childless by choice) TEXT me to tell me our mother died bc she is not speaking to me bc I moved to another state to find a great school for my kids (BTW they are finally doing well, FL has SEVERAL programs that help pay for private schools for kids with special needs).
Resources that have really helped me. Stanford Univ Neurodiversity Project (so u can see that your son could grow up and get a good job that utilizes his neurodivergences) has many resources and YT videos on REFRAMING neurodifference as a positive rather than look at it as a negative disability. The website understood.com and the good state of FL. I have found there are so many options here for parents with kiddos with challenges. Far more than CA (where im from) or other states that are "known as ranking high in ed" like NY or MA. Before we found this school, I had to drug my kids to get them to "fit in" at their public school. Now, they are performing really well and are on ZERO meds.
Please KNOW you cant pick your family but you can pick your friends. We have built a family of friends that we spend holidays with and trust with our hearts and precious time. I have spent some holidays volunteering so Im not home alone with my kids. Volunteering I have met some pretty nice ppl.
It sounds a bit "corny" but being religious has also helped me to change my life for the better. Houses of worship are filled with ppl like u and me that want/need community/family. We have lived here for just over a year and I already know a few dozen ppl that Im on a 1st name basis with.
Keep up the good work and know living well is the best "revenge" Coming from a place of gratitude (which this woman has little to none) it is almost impossible to be and stay sad/down. Sounds like you have it.
      Be well.

Im from CA and there is a LOT of that kind of stuff going around. a "Californian vegetarian" is some one that eats mostly vegetarian but can on occasion, eat chicken or fish. In CA this woman would not only get away with drugging and robbing a man, she would not have the laundry list of things to do to keep herself out on probation and not in jail. Cardi B the rap star has bragged that years ago she would drug and rob guys that came into the strip club she worked at, she's from NYC where bad ppl usually get away with crimes like this. Im sure this woman knows who Cardi B is and thinks if she did it why cant I?
