Great video!! My wife and I want to start fishing the Pigeon River in TN. There's a lot of slick rocks but also a bit of hiking is involved. Just how much more traction on slick rocks will I get with the Eddy felts vs rubber. I prefer rubber but don't want to regret it because they're too slick. Also, I plan to use a neoprene wet suit pants and vest in mild weather with waterproof socks and put the wetsuit pants leg over the top of the sock and then the Eddy wading shoes. Do you see this as a decent plan?
To be absolutely honest, I wouldn't fish in those mountain streams without felt boots. The Simm's Flyweight felt are outstanding for lots of hiking plus fishing, but they are going to cost a lot more ($100+) than the Deep Eddy's.

David, thanks for the great review, will definitely consider the Paramount boots.
Thanks Mark, both boots are great, but for the money the Paramount's are a great value. Tight Lines! 🐟🐟 David
