- Recalibrate your speedometer and give your car a tune-up at home while driving and avoid costly repairs and shop fees for a 1993 Honda Civic EG 5th gen. It's not worth it to pay someone to calibrate your speedometer when you can DIY it in your own driveway for free! Be safe and make sure your speedometer is accurate.
You can never have enough WD-40: amzn.to/3QsQMK1
I hope @scottykilmer isn't disappointed in me for what I did in this video.
I guess I could use a GPS app or my old garmin. This is a great idea. I have a 1995 accord but I don't see why this wouldn't work.
Yea it won't be perfect, but better than nothing if your speedometer is totally wrong like mine was.
@@BadHomeowner I was thinking I don't think it will work. Because it's 10% off everywhere. I think I need to put my old USA gear in there. I suspect the JDM gear is about 10% smaller.
When I did this, the metal part behind the pointer needle came out along with it, I can't get it to work properly now...
real smooth how you didn’t show how you removed that needle😂
You just yank it off. It pulls straight out.
Another way would be to jack up the car, and calculate the speed based on RPMs.
It's works on my car. Thanks for the tips. But I found the speedometer reading abit odds! 😂
Thank you sooooo much for the idea! I just bought myself a 200cc bike in Bolivia, and the speedometer arrow had fallen off, I didn't know how to set it, so after seeing this video I downloaded a gps app and did as you showed. My brother with my phone on the backseat telling me the speed and I put it on. We tested up to 60kmh and it was good, now I can test the maximum speed😂. Again thank you!
Awesome! btw you don't even need a special app, I'm just using Google Maps and it works great.
Was i listening to deadpool?
So I recalibrate while moving?
Yea that's the only way I know of, unless you can put your car on something that lets the wheels spin and tells you how fast they are turning.
Great video, gonna do this on my ‘99 Ford Ranger.
