- These machines have history. They have stories to tell. Some are time capsules. This remix of the shakedown series will showcase great examples of modified by aftermarket parts or excellent kit versions of drift machines I own or that I come across from other RC drift enthusiasts :D Oh, oh me...oh my...0o0o0o purple meets my eye :D :D :D This chassis is well, very purple as you can see. I don't think you could install any more purple on this in terms of actually upgrading the performance level. This is a fully optioned MST FXX-D VIP chassis. It is in excellent condition. It has been maintained meticulously by its previous owner, Bad Shoppe Team Driver Sebastian B. From a collector to a collector, we knew this car would end up with me one day lol. This chassis also won a Bad Shoppe competition event back in its day so it has a big W under its belt :D This car may only be lightly tuned from now on and will mostly only be brought out for special occasions as I have other FXX-D VIP chassis I can use for actual science projectory etc instead of messing with this glorious example. I also love how the OMG Bad Shoppe 2023 Electronics collection installs and looks along side all the smexy purple aluminum parts. I did not enable boost as I did not want to blow up the drivetrain gears/driveshaft which have been known to be fragile on this platform (ask me how i know lol). You will enjoy the second half of the video as I install a battery in the rear diffuser tray :D This was the hot setup back in 2014/2015 until international competition rules banned it lol. Crazy how it swings a whole lot better with the extra rear battery
Yupppp was the hot jam setup lol Although we ran just the main battery on the rear diffuser tray, not 2 separate ones hehe I did that for dramatic visual sciences :D

i have the FXX but the diff and the reduction gears make grinding noise, do you know a way to fix this or know what i need to upgrade?
Typical FXX noises :) the only sorta way is to upgrade transmission reducer to aluminum, and check that the diff ring and pinion gears are in good shape. Otherwise, that's FXX life
Very beautiful drift! Well... I got old FXX in stock form (with busted spur gear) and I wonder what should I do? Ditch it to the garbage and get something new in all these fancy colors and carbon or make old lady suffer in order to make her go sideways?
Well i know some people in the world are still running their FXX's. When the YD-2 and other mid-motor based chassis hit the market the FXX's etc struggled to keep up. I'd still keep the car though instead of just throwing it out
