I really like your honesty first of all and we expect from you to more about cs field. thanks for everything.
You're very welcome ^^
I agree, I am studying CS at Uni Stuttgart. What most people don’t know getting into this degree is how much math they will be doing. I don’t fault them since the only way to find this out is to actually study it. But if you are someone who is thinking about it, you will have 4-5 real courses per semester (written exams, with maybe additional 1-2 projects). Out of these 5 written exams, 4 are some form of math and 1 is something related to programming. Especially the first two semesters where you have theoretical computer science 2, which is by far the most difficult course I ever took.
Are you studying for masters or bachelors??
@@pastelteaaniiii bachelors
Have you studied in a german highschool? If so would it make sense to take mathe Lk in oberstufe
@@fate2452 I was on a „Wirtschaftsgymnasium“ (like economic gymnasium) so we didn’t really have LKs and GKs, but I had to write math exam in my Abitur.
I would strongly encourage you to do so, even though every uni is going to have some sort of maths preparation course for the uni (we had it for the first two weeks when the 1. Semester started) but you are just going to fly over topics etc, they are going to expect you to have “solid” foundation in high school math and those courses are typically there to refresh your memory.
bro please make a video on studying in accounting or other business related subjects.
plz make video on data science in Germany for master
please make a video about MSC in Electrical Engineering
Bro make a video on data sceince in Germany bachelors and masters both

1. Is it possible to follow a bachelor of law in English in germany?
2. After an Ausbildung can I enroll in to a university to follow a LLB course ?
Hii....may i know what are the syllabus for aufnahmeprufung for m-kurs and some tips
Max i have a question and here is some context:
Im moroccan and i finished my high school degree a year and half ago but i scored low in maths, im now studying german to get a german degree and i have an english degree equivalent to b2/c1 level
And i will be taking a math course from freecodecamp called college algebra with python
Do you reckon that would be enough to cover my bad grade to apply for ausbildung/dual studium
And thanks for thr great video you earned a sub
Bro can you make a similar video on Finance degree?
Tell us about the opportunities in mechanical engineering field. Good work though.👏🏻

Hi Max, thank you for your videos. Not sure if it's too soon or not because right now you're still studying but it would be interesting to see a video about income, tax and living expenses in Germany. For example, as a software developer making 80K per year in Munich (which is considered a good salary?), how is life gonna be like? How much tax do you have to pay? How livable in your opinion? Is it good or better somewhere else (in other cities or even outside of Germany)? I tried some online calculation and I was a bit surprised in quite many ways. I don't know how accurate this is (the data below) but from my understanding, this is the minimum tax and compulsory insurance you have to pay. How do you think about it?
Result Month Year
Gross Salary: 6.666,67 € 80.000,00 €

It might be interesting to know, how much of the study is in German or English, as therfore someone has to have a better or lower knowledge of the German language.
Max what do you think of learning design specifically related to UI UX at Germany?

does master's degree for cs also has an internship? does master's degree could work in German? I've seen some countries that reject master's degree when applying for a job, saying that they are overqualified. Anyway, solid work bro, can't wait for the internship videos.
You can do an internship during your master's degree. And yes, having a master's degree is usually a plus because you're specialized and have more knowledge
But it's a struggle for us as an International student to learn things in German language. Like TU Berlin and RWTH Aachen is one of the best university but they just taught in German language not in English..Before studing in germany I've to learn another language (german). And another question are they write all this lectures in german or just speak in german but write in english .Thank you advance
I'm going to do MSc in mathematics in science and engineering from TUM .
My plan is to go with mathematics + computer science.
Is it a good one if we consider the job opportunities?
Yes, you can't really go wrong with TUM and computer science is in high demand. Although the competition is also high, TUM should set you up for a good career
U're very fantastic bro but I wanna know if can I study computer science by English or must be with dutch only
Hello, Max! Beautiful video! Can Freie Universität Berlin also be considered as a nice place for Informatik-Studium?
Thanks a lot!
Unfortunately, I don't have any personal experience with that university but one thing I can tell you is that almost any university in Germany offers high-quality education. I have read reviews from students and many of them say that you will learn a lot of theory there. This makes sense since the Freie Universität Berlin is a classic university.
You can read the reviews here: www.studycheck.de/studium/informatik/fu-berlin-13917
Can you make one on Artificial intelligence, ml and data science.
I'll see what I can do :)
Can u do a comparison between usa and germany for masters in cs , plz plz
Nice one bro what about 3d animation and game dev?
Love your content Max!
I am thinking of doing a Master in Computer Science in Germany - just having trouble finding the right course/university - trying to find a course that isn't super heavy on theory (like Uni of Bonn)
and has more of a practical element to it i.e. software/robotics. My Bachelor degree is from the UK in Electrical Engineering..any tips?
If you want more practical stuff and projects, I can really recommend universities of applied sciences. They are not too heavy on research and theory :)
@@maxyoko thanks Max..they are also equally as good/reputable for MSc compared to normal universities in Germany?
@@HS-cu6iw It always depends on the field of study. Some universities specialize in AI for example, so if you wanna write your master's thesis about AI, it's better to have a close look at what kind of research they are doing instead of rankings. When it comes to reputation, rankings do matter to some extent tho. If you really care about reputation, I can recommend going to a classic university because more people know about the top 10 compared universities of applied sciences (which don't appear on world rankings)
@@maxyoko great..legend! It's also a coincidence I came across your channel when I so desperately needed quality info about uni in Germany! Love from the UK!🤘🏼
Been binging a lot of your videos Max. For someone who intends to study my bachelors in Germany, they are really helpful!

Yes, the course accepts international students, but it's German-taught ^^
@@maxyoko Hey that's awesome to know!

Can i pursue MS AI with a Bachelors in Electrical engineering?
Is there any charge tuition at Ludwig Maximilian University for international students? I knew there was only basic fee unlike TUM.
Currently, they don't have any tuition fees but they were discussing a potential introduction for the future
Is science mandatory to study bachelors in computer science?
What are the great companies to do an "Ausbildung zum Fachinformatiker "in, some that you recommend
I can recommend middle-sized German tech companies. I don't have specific recommendations since I haven't done Ausbildung myself but almost every company will give you proper education
Yo max is the skills in programming of someone in informatik same as someone in wirtschaftinformatik
It depends on how much you do during your studies. But if you look at just the curriculum, you will do more technical stuff and programming languages in Informatik
Hey max , your videos are so informative and reliable.
Please make an video about IU university of applied science. Is this university a scam?
In online community there are mix reaction , some student claimimg IU is a scam.
Please make an video about IU.

Going to have a look at this university :)
So far I haven't heard many positive things tho
Very informative video. You mentioned a stable knowledge of English, what about the German requirements?
Depends if it's an English or German-taught program. For German taught you will usually need B2 German
@@maxyoko Thanks! For english taught I'm guessing A2 would normally be required?
Can we still do Masters in applied computer science if we are not good at coding but ready to learn ?
You need a computer science or related bachelors to study a masters degree in that field
damn I still feel bad that TUM now takes tuiton fees
I hope you all are doing great ,Can anyone guide me with which university and the course I should choose . I have completed my bachelor's degree in computer science, and i am interested and wanna make my career in web development .

As a CS student at KIT, I am a bit sad my university didn't make it into the list :
Still an awesome university for CS!
Especially when considering people like Karl Steinbuch and when looking on how they have influenced the domain - KIT was placed 1st for a really long time in Germany but now it is a bit different (Said as someone who also studies there)
how could you not mention Karlsruhe Institut for Technology:') 9:00

anybody know the job opportunities after graduating comp sci for international students?
I have a computer science bachelors degree. I am interested in design. Can you please tell me which masters degree i should do and which german university of applied science can i apply for the masters degree?
Studying a master's degree in Design with a computer science degree is nearly impossible in Germany
You would have to start off with a Bachelors first
But I was checking for an English language public university in German for computer science and I could not find any. How could I find them? Please help me about that.
I don't think there are very few of them
Is studying bsc in data science,AI and digital business from gisma University of Applied Science is good or bad
It's hard to give a satisfying answer to this question but in general education at German universities is really high quality. At a university of applied sciences, your studies are gonna be more practical :)
Is possible to get fully funded scholarship as a international student?
Yes it is!
Hello brother i am from india
I completed my bachelors in chemistry after which i worked in a chemical industry for about a year and wanted to switch to IT domain therefore i did mca( master of computer application ). My question is can i get admission for a second masters degree in Germany

Is there any startup program or funding option?.
Some universities have partnerships with Start-up incubators or are very entrepreneurial by nature. Examples are the HM in Munich or TUM, they definitely have start-up funding :)
Iam currently going to complete my master's degree in computer science , can i able to do my second masters degree in Germany please clarify brother
Yeah sure!
What about the job opportunities for masters in cyber security in Germany for 2024 students?
Cybersecurity specialists are in high demand in Germany
i am from Electrical Engineering Background. Can i apply for MSc in Computer Science? Would you mind to make a video for non-cs background who are looking forward to get admitted in German University
In Germany, they are pretty strict when it comes to switching fields. If your previous courses are enough for a master's, yes it's possible. But many people get rejected because they lack certain CS classes for example
Wasn´t the Karlsruhe Institute for Technology in the top 5 of all universities in germany?
Might be true yes, but ranking change all the time
KIT's still crazy good tho
Are job opportunities good for ms in DS/cs students .
In general, yes
Is knowledge of the german language necesaary, from a cs job perspective?
If it's a very international company or the communication in the company is in English, no you probably won't need much German
But being able to speak German will boost your opportunities
when should i start preparing the documents like lor, sop, aps for next summer intake?
I can recommend getting language certificates August-September and the document preparation should be done in October-December so that you can apply to universities in December-January :)
I'm planning to apply for English taught programs.. so is German language certificate mandatory? If so then which level should be enough Max!?@@maxyoko

If you want to move to a English speaking country with high packages then Australia is the best choice.
I am a masters student in Germany, but right now first i have to do language course (till C1).... can i switch to Ausbildung without starting my masters ? Is it easy to change my residence permit status ?
Hello one question, is it possible to get admitted without the level of German that is required and take a language course before starting my studies?
What about engineering degrees? Are they a prospective career to take and are the salaries good. Like Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering etc...
I can't say too much about engineering since I'm not studying myself but it seems to be a good career path
It's highly competitive and tough though
Civil engineering is regulated in Germany, keep that in mind for your future, it's also regulated in most of European countries, so it's more difficult to get into that field as a non EU person, go for non regulated fields, Google them
What about Master in Data Science in Germany
Also a very good career option
I have a german citizenship despite never having lived there and not speaking the language. Ive heard that public universities in Germany are free. Would it be possible for me to come study computer science in Germany in English for free?
I assume one of your parents is German :)
Computer Science in English at a public university is rare and hyper-competitive but I believe you can study it in Saarland
@@maxyoko is speaking German a required?
Which university did you pick
University of applied sciences Munich
do you need to lean german to study ???
If you choose a German-taught program, yes
can i study masters in computer science with a bachelor degree in information technology
If you meet the requirements, yes.
You have to figure out if the courses you took in your bachelors degree are enough for the masters. But since it's a similar field, the chances are higher
Is informatik course for bachelors in german only in public uni?
No there are private uni but they don't offer much more than public ones

Can I apply for a masters with Engineering degree but Civil department not CS department?? as you said about equivalent STEM subject
No. German Universities are very strict about prerequisite courses. It’s more important to them than your GPA.
I have a bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering and I got rejected by some schools when I applied for their Embedded systems program ( which typically has more in common with electrical engineering than computer science) just because I didn’t take enough computer science elective courses in my bachelors program.

In most cases, yes absolutely
I didnt understand your question, do you mean courses in german language vs english?
@@user669gg Ja genau !
Salaries are not good in Germany as compared to other countries. And in future, there will be a lot turbulence for CS grads due to AI and Automation. We are seeing Senior-only dev teams in most of the major tech companies.
what do you mean by senior only dev teams?
@@mkplays3361 Due to AI, no more need for junior developers anymore. They are only hiring senior developers for positions
Yes and you'd need to have good german fluency to get a job here. Unlike english speaking countries, your career growth is also going to be limited here as they generally prefer native germans to take leadership and managerial positions within the company. The discrimination is real.

My experience, observations and opinion:
If you want to work in IT, especially in a very practical area, a degree is probably the worst path you can choose. A CS degree is so theoretical, you wont learn enough to be a skilled candidate on the market.
I am working in IT for nearly a decade, 5 years in a management position near enough to know the market. I have conducted probably over 200 job interviews so I think I am able to give a good observation about the market.
1.) People getting worse in case of practical skills. People nowadays dont have the interest in doing more than needed for the degree. They do not know what IT is about in the real world being trapped inside of this CS bubble which they think is the holy grail. They do not put the work into being up to date in different practical fields of IT being stuck at the level they learned in university or dont know the relevant stuff at all because university is too theoretical.
2.) There is a huuuuge misconception about CS in general, as you kinda said in the video. CS is mostly about what drives IT but it is faaaaar away from the real world IT. Even though CS has some parts that are relevant for IT, like database design, it is just not enough.
3.) Companies that are not doing research are searching practical skills, not degrees. In the world of practical IT a degree is worth nothing. It is just a certificate that proof you can put in some work to gain knowledge which is the basics. If you dont want to put in the work to learn new things or keep yourself updated constantly by studying new things you will be lost in this area.
4.) Practical training (in germany it is called "Ausbildung") is worth more than a bachelor's degree if it comes to the practical IT. As someone who employs new people I learned that people who did go through a practical training are way more valuable than bachelors students. In a training you learn way more practical skills, often people can learn them already on a job or in internships. Talking to a bachelors/masters degree student and a practial training one reveals a huge different between those.
5.) People getting worse communicating properly. I didnt expect to have this observation but peoples communcation skills are getting worse. Worse in case of quantity and quality. This is something that needs to be fixed asap but I am not quite sure how.
6.) 45k is not a good salary in IT and is not realistic. I dont know your sources but this number is way too low especially for master degree students. My experience shows that fresh master degrees earn 55k - 60k in practical IT. Maybe the 45k is about the research field?
If you know excatly what you want to work in in the future I recommend you studying. E.g. if you want to work in AI there is no way around because thats not something you will learn in a practical training. Same applies to research: If you know that you want to go into research there is no way around doing a master degree.
If you know you want to become e.g. a programmer, sysadmin, network engineer, cloud engineer and many more practical jobs I recommend you going the practical training path + putting in some more work outside the training to be up to date with the latest tech.
If I could start over I would go the more risky way and learn everything by myself focusing on exactly what I want on my own (I am a practical IT guy). I would study 3 years on my own and work on my communication skills. I wouldnt care about having a degree, I would focus on certifications because ceritifications proof practical knowledge.
In the end, applying for a job is all about convincing the employer about you adding value to their business. Having the best certifications that are spot on with what the company is doing will be a lot more convincing than someone having a degree with barely to no practical skills at all.
Good advice. I also don't think people learn that well in uni since the system promotes tedious tasks over individual growth.
Is the course in English?
There are English and German-taught courses in Germany
