The Petios need to file civil suit against the Laundries and put this attorney on the stand. Then he must talk!
No he doesn't... attorney client privilege continues after death.
I don't think it does actually
@@TheCrazytim70 so, you’re an attorney?
Did I say that ? I just seen lots of books come out after clients have died . It's just a guess
@@TheCrazytim70 it actually does. You think wrong. A simple Google search will tell you that ffs 🙄
The more he's talking the more he's making them look bad! Everything seem to change when the body was found? This case is so confusing so many lies
Soooooooo many lies!!
That was a great interview. She's probably the best reporter I've heard in years. 😊😊😊😊👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
she asked the perfect questions
She did a live after this and explained she was drilling to try to be able to show not everything is privileged.
Ashley is from Canada, schooled in Canada
She is the best🤗Standing ovation!!!!!!!!🙏☮
Ashley is amazing- does her job properly! This lady should be in a court of law because she would absolutely succeed in getting the truth 👍🏻
Yes! I LOVE HER INTERVIEW STYLE! She's compassionate yet digs in . GIVE HER THAT WITCH NANCY GRACE's JOB!! 🤭😂
She asked this lawyer if he knew things he couldn't possibly know. I had to laugh though. I mean how could that lawyer know exactly what was in the plastic dry bag found? And what was that picture of a gun on the screen in the beginning with a red rope on it? So weird.
The lawyer is going to need a lawyer.
Agreed!
Lol….yup
Hahaha
Hilarious!!!
🤣👍
Lies you never remember but the truth you do. What attorney doesn’t take notes especially on what could be a court case? He can’t remember dates either?
Giuliani part 2.0
Humans don't have the best memory. You have a point on not being to remember lies though.
Moab police officers in Utah I believe have blood on there hands for the murder of Gabby Petitto and the suicide of Brian laundrie
I actually believe him. He stabbed the conversion dead with his response that he didn't 'report' that Brian didn't come home, rather it came up in passing one night.
@@sheesh3214 Nope, there was a female Park Ranger that talked with Gabby during the stop in Moab. She was the one that told the police she didn't think this was a criminal situation and she was the one that suggested they separate them for at least a night. This video summarizes what the Ranger's role was in the Police interaction. ua-cam.com/video/GSQeoo5SFUU/v-deo.html Don't believe this?? ... Here's the video showing her involvement: ua-cam.com/video/XwayGrNfBKc/v-deo.html First time you've seen this?? No doubt because the Police are taking the heat vs the Ranger, who gave them the advise.
Sounds like this lawyer needs to take his own advice he gave to BL's parents right off the bat; Don't say anything to anyone 🙄
Yopanda.;..and miss a chance at free publicity? He did try to clear up some misinformation. Banfield asked some hard, direct questions.
Nah let him sink himself and them! Freaking wanna be tough guy scum bag… he’s gotta live with that knowledge the rest of his life.

the more he talked the more guilty BL and family look🙄
God, I hate this dude. Great job, Ashleigh and Brian Entin!
Why do you hate him? He’s literally doing his job as an attorney. I don’t like who he is representing but at the end of the day attorney/client privilege is just that. Privileged. He’d be a crappy attorney if he gave information out.

🤣🤣 Yup
I agree he's a bully and he might just need a lawyer himself.
He is more of a moron than a lawyer
Let's hang them all and let God sort this out
Ashleigh is hot 😍
Get him back for part 2 on Monday. Ask him why the Laundries refused the distress calls & texts from the Petito family. Awesome job Ash!!😊👍
He’s answered that already. Can’t remember where I saw it. He said they “ didn’t answers and of the Petitos calls because he told them to talk to no one.” My question is WHY, AT THAT POINT WOULD HE TELL THEM THAT IF THEY DIDN’T TELL HIM WHAT HAPPENED REGARDING GABBY??
@@truecrimenut6696 exactly. If he really didn’t know anything then surely for all he knew gabby could have dumped BL’s sorry ass and felt so sorry for him so says he could keep the van for now and she’d fly wherever else she wanted to go. Or maybe they were just on a break. But it’s very suspicious that he immediately told them not to even answer a concerned parents call. What’s so sad is at that point, gabbys family were concerned about Brian too. They had no idea he was home. That’s the difference in the hearts and morals of the families in my opinion.
@Joe Raymond If that’s true that’s a lot different than what most people said.
@Joe Raymond if you watch Dr Phil interview of Gabby's parents they explained after trying for a few days calling and texting and not getting any answer from Brian, they got worry for both of them (Gabby and Brian) then they located the number for the Laundries. Then started to call them in case they knew where Brian and Gabby were, but got no answer either.

For being direct, composed and brilliant. You are a force to be reckoned with. This country deserves more journalism like yours, you are wonderful
This attorney is going to be the straw that breaks the camels back. He's going to crack and say something he shouldn't.

No, he’s not. He’s slick as snot!
He kinda already did when he said that Brian was grieving(!).
@@heirloomcottagedesigns9063 at the moment yes, but after one day of interviews he's already mixing up his stories and slipping up with what he's saying. The pressure is going to mount, I can imagine the scenarios are going to completely change too once more information comes to light.
I think it is very disturbing that Laundries did not communicate with Gabby family. That was absolutely cruel. This is why the public is pissed off.
Thats also why the laundries must have helped brian to escape...
You encourage him to run away from the DEATH PENALTY. YOU ARE THEIR LAWYER AND DONT EVEN KNOW HOW LONG THEY LIVE IN FLORIDA. SHE IS A HYPOCRITE. HE WENT AWAY EO DISAPPEAR

Can we just get something straight here. When someone is going to kill themselves, 99% of the time you'd never know they were going to. I hate when people say someone didn't look or seem suicidal.
So when they reported he left and they "were afraid he might hurt himself" But now he says he wasn't suicidal.
This guy contradicts everything he's said previously.

He thinks he’s doing something significant but in reality he’s doing more harm in helping the Laundries and Brian included by doing the right thing.
Oooooo boy this is gettin good. We(the public) knew somethin was up and fishy this just goes to prove that!! Fantastic job Ashleigh!! You are a rockstar!! Now lets put these liars in jail. #justiceforgabby
It was not a happy occasion… he was grieving…that’s a bombshell. She got it. Brian basically told him he knew she was dead, he was concerned about being found guilty unjustly or justly, but getting a lawyer and running way just screams guilty.
Finally someone addressed his Freudian slip of the word grieving!!
It wasn't a freudian slip though, he meant it.
Gabby's body was found later. Only the killer could have undoubtedly known she was dead.
@@Bird5861tr4 I mean.. one can grieve after breaking up with someone.. or having left them
behind.. or after leaving them to die and not knowing or admitting to themselves they killed the person.. or grieving because while he knew he did it.. hearing it on the news being confirmed just made it all real in his own mind. But him taking her van and driving home without her and not calling the police to say she was injured or someone else injured her or an accident happened and she needs medical attention.. all but guarantees he killed her deliberately or during a fit of rage.
Didn’t the Laundries refuse communication with Gabby’s family before obtaining an attorney? Previously Bertolino stated he instructed them not to talk, when did he begin advising them not to say anything to anyone?
The right to remain silent is great!
And why did he advise them not to speak to their own daughter? If they had nothing to hide
Because she used to be a district attorney herself.... She knew not to say anything. It has turned into a huge media situation.... I'm sure you have heard of .... Anything you say can and will be used against you.
I am so thoroughly fed up with the internet bashing the Laundries' have had to put up with! Hopefully this is the beginning of the end.

My thoughts exactly!!!

*Yeah but as he said, the FBI knows when he contacted them and have repeatedly confirmed it’s a total “non issue.”*
*But the Officer is butt-hurt that Bertolino reported this tidbit directly with FBI instead of them!*
*Between the local po-dunk Police department who failed to keep active surveillance on the Laundrie’s and the attorney who makes the big bucks handling crucial cases like these every day, it seems safe to assume the police more than likely failed to take notice - not the other way around…*

I love your work Ashleigh
She sure is!
Ashleigh is a goof, honestly he made a fool of her. She's trying to make mountains out of anthills and using semantics to try to look clever and trip him up. She failed
This joker isn't even a criminal law attorney and he probably has no idea how ignorant he sounds 🤦🏼 The ethical thing would have been to advise them that he WASN'T educated in criminal law or federal criminal laws but could point them in the right direction. Brian would probably still be alive if he was in an undisclosed location and Gabby and her family would have had justice.
LOL, you trained in both when you go to law school, Law School is not like Medical school where you specialise in either Internal Medicine (MD) or Surgery (MS) and you can do both Criminal Law and Civil Law after you finish law school (given if you passed the bar).
Just because Steven Bertolino practice Real Estate law, that does not mean he know nothing about Criminal Law, most Lawyer don't do Criminal Law because of the compensation, you don't get pay a lot to be a criminal lawyer, you only get lawyer fee, and Civil Law is where the money is (Because you retain the right to certain proportion of damage when you represent your client) IN fact, most CIvil Lawyer do criminal case pro-bono (free) because that is one of the requirement you need to fill to keep your law license.
The reason why he didn't say much is because Banfield asked a lot of Privileged question. He can't answer what he talked to the Laundrie or what the Laundrie told each other.
@@cosplayshop , omfg, OK, hahaha, you'd hire him in similar circumstances, God forbid?! Internet know it all. Jeez!

@J D You don't need a license to practice in specific state to represent someone in legal matter, as long as you don't go to court.
Once you are in court, you need a state license to practice trial law in that state, however, you still can represent someone in court using an out-of-state license if you motion to a judge a Pro Hac Vice motion in court, if the judge allow this motion, you can represent someone in court even if you do not have state bar license.
God I love her interview skills!! He is tripping over his words so bad. If ya didnt know what happened to Brian before... ya do now.
How is that not a conflict of interest him being a longtime friend with the laundries?
He's a Real Estate attorney, not a criminal defense attorney. No license in Florida or Wyoming 🤣🤣
Yeah, he can't even answer real estate questions because he's up in New York. This whole thing is crazy.
If you (or a loved one) are facing federal charges, you are free to choose a lawyer from any state to help defend your case, as long as that lawyer agrees to take your case and is equipped to do so
Florida has no reciprocity... in other words an out of state lawyer can't really try a case in Florida...he'd have to take a bar exam in the state to try this case my understanding anyways
@@linderofhyrule they have residency in NY though....so they can retain him...
@@momboss247 thats not really gonna matter it matters where the case is tried the warrants issued in Wyoming they don't have reciprocity either its what allows an attorney to practice in another state without having to get licensed in another state
When the attorney said: “ I don’t recall” when it comes to him trying to remember dates because they were so “blurred together” it reminded me of the Prince Andrew and Epstein scenario when Andrew says “I don’t recall taking the picture with this girl” even though the picture evidence is there. You can “not recall” all you want but the truth comes out

Exactly. I love her. She gets the job done. She understands the assignment
Bah, Banfield is trying to get Bertolino to reveal that they knew Gabby was dead on the 1st and that's why they called him, while that is exactly what he doesn't want to reveal. Yet we all know that they called Berolino because Brian murdered Gabby and they wanted help saving Brian.
That's why he said he's been their attorney for 20 years
Exactly
@Ace Ventura He went on a cross country trip with her and returned without her. And didn't report her missing. Can you come up with an explanation that would fit that which wouldn't include "he murdered her"?
@Ace Ventura all that I know is that the lawyer and the Laundries, are all in big shit and they deserve it. Justice for Gabby!!
@Ace Ventura pin points exactly he was there toke her van home leaving her body there toke her bank card and spent money of her card when she was deceased to get home if he was so innocent and didn’t do it he would of been able to prove his innocence but instead he didn’t stayed silent his parents did they ignored the petito family lawyered up without going to the police they did not engage with the police what so ever on gabby why because of him being so damn guilty on what he did are u really that stupid to see that wow you really need your head testing
Within the first 10 questions, Steve Bertolino is lying. Her question was about the Laundries always living in North Port, FL.
Here Bertolino says, "No I don't remember when they moved.". He's their Real Estate Attorney who has had multiple dealings with Roberta & Chris. He knows the date they moved. He's a personal friend over 20 years. You're going to tell me he can't recall? B.S. here.
During the search for Brian, it's been reported that Laundries traveled to Orlando for a meeting w/their attorney. Was it with Bertolino? If so, he lied again. A Real Estate Attorney playing Criminal Attorney.
This interview needs a sleuth to go over his answers. I believe he's part of a cover-up.
Obvious he covers up a lot....
Omg I totally forgot that! No wonder she asked him that question! Jesus I think he’s in trouble over multiple things!
He is their lawyer. The man is in a tough spot. I wouldn't want a lawyer that's going to talk 2 the media. I can bet the man is regretting ever having met these people.
When they replayed the clip of Josh Taylor, it unequivocally supported what Ashleigh was saying yet Bertolino still had the balls to argue her. THEN when Ashleigh questions why Bertolino says he reported Brian Laundrie missing on the Sat/Sun/Mon if he was an avid outdoorsmen who often didn't come home for days at a time, he yells at her to "lose the word, report"....even though that was the exact word he had been using himself LOL.
This man is exhausting to listen to. Ashleigh did a great job.
Getting my popcorn waiting for this woman to take it to him.
Interesting. Intense. Ashleigh and Brian are such excellent journalists.
She is so good, she didn’t back down with him being so rude.
@@laurenmay2098 she was the one that was rude. He questions were ridiculous.
@@laurenmay2098 Banfield is the rude one. Constantly interrupting him, manipulating his answers (which Bertolino had to correct multiple times). Not playing the video clip until after bringing in Entin - all are scummy moves that have nothing to do with getting at the truth. I doubt Bertolino will return for a part 2 after her first "interview."
They really are!
Journalists are there to get two sides of a story. Ashleigh was asking questions we all wanted to know. The total absence of talking about Gabby and dismissing her family's 'grief' shows the Laundries not talking to them, not because of the 5th Ammendment, but because they don't have an altruistic bone in their body's. They must dislike Gabby's family as it was obvious from day one they didn't want to show any empathy. Even a mourning card or bouquet 💐 sent to Gabby's parents on the loss of their daughter!! How guilty does that make them look? Can't this lawyer see from the outside that the silence is deafening? If Brian always headed away for a few days if he couldn't cope, wasn't that a red flag to get him some help to deal with this anxiety? Sometimes people don't know how ill they are and it was his parents duty to get him to a doctor for counselling. He obviously had an anger problem and allowing him to carry on in that destructive manner is on his parents. He has been like this from being a youth. I know myself that if you condone their bad behaviour, you're really approving of it and you are the one they look up too growing up. The best thing the parents could've done was push him out into the world to get his own place, earn his own keep. If he went off on one in their presence, get him to leave as you don't approve of that kind of violence and aggression. It all stems from the parents. Even when he murdered Gabby he got the thumbs up that they would fix it. They should've got him to go to police and tell them what he knew? If he did kill her, as in a manslaughter charge, he didn't mean too, a crime of passion, he would still be here. But they just shut up and thought that Gabby's family would accept no reply or explanation of where their daughter had went? Did they imagine leaving Gabby to the elements, the vultures etc...and the return of the creek bed turning into a river would wash all the evidence away before anyone ever found her. Then Brian could get back to a normal life again! What an attitude, what a totally dysfunctional family! Hell mend them....... 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
“We we’re not worried at all, it was normal for him to go for a hike for several days…” vs“ We tried to stop him, I wish we could stop him from leaving he was so upset but you know we could not, he is a grown up man…” Just lies.
💯
Steven Bertolino has to be the biggest jerk I have ever seen in my life. Made me forget how angry I was with Brian's parents being souless.
Ashley Banfield asked and said everything I’ve wanted to relay to Mr. Bertolino. Great interview!
This dude is a family friend that is a so called lawyer. He took on a case that's way out of his league.
Why was this family and their attorney so hesitant to OFFICIALLY report Brian missing?
Doesn’t pass the smell test!
The lawyer told FBI, this is a cross-state case. Why are you guys so dead on accusing them not revealing he was missing just Bc a local PD didn’t get the memo?
If the attorney thinks that this is going to make his clients look better if anything it’s making them look even worse anything he needs to be talking to Gabby‘s parents and letting them know exactly what happened to their daughter!!!
If he or Dirty Laundries had a slugs conscience yeah. Enabling sociopaths. Poor sweet Gabby innocently stumbled into this viper pit. Human - ha! - swamp. Karma? Brians last memory? Shhhzzzz. Then the realization. Venom. Swamp. Alone. Slow. Agonizing.
Lol
Brians remains being skeletal and found where the psrents said he went off to doesn't make them look good, but it does make them look better. Not being a child with a fairy tale view of the world, I can modify my opinion and accept this.

This man gives me a headache attempting to listen to him. It's like an empty drum banking right beside me. OUCH!

This interview just confirms that Brian’s parents and the attorney were complicit in knowledge of Gabby’s disappearance and demise.
