Great video. My TE 80 is modded with a Dimarzio FS-1 bridge pickup, a Iron Gear Vintage 6TS neck pickup & a Graphite nut. Also CTS pots with CDE tone capacitor and 50's wiring. The stock pickguard is the same as the one you made so I'm guessing HB corrected that issue. One of the string whole pieces was loose and also slightly out of line with the others. It weighs a ton but is a really great guitar and looks killer. I may have the neck shimmed to get the action lower now that I've seen your video.
Let me know how it goes! They're awesome guitars for sure. And they really are very heavy. Can't believe the look, especially for the price too -- gonna be on the lookout at Thomann Guitars as different models come up and also go on sale. Unbelievable selection.
What do you mean by 50s wiring. I have one of these guitars and i don't like the pickup tone, which gauge strings do you use, otherwise its a lovely guitar, cheers
Thanks so much! My friend was very happy with the pickups as well, which I was thrilled to hear. The stock pickups were painfully thin and ear piercing, so it was a welcome improvement. Thanks again for the comment!
Contact me at: guitarmdofficial@gmail.com Sometimes people do ship me guitars to work on. I do still have the pickguard template, so another option would be to save on guitar shipping costs and just have me send you a pickguard and some pickups that you can install yourself. But sure, if you would like a setup, and this custom work, I can do that. Just drop me a line!

wow, nice work!
Thanks so much!
I like the fat sounding pickups you‘ve made!👍🏼 And the nice tortoise shell pickguards!
