Her comment followed on the other women's comments about finding commonality with people you perceive as different and I think the implication was primarily about WASP vs Muslim Arab/Palestinian, native Canadians vs immigrants, since that was the primary conflict in the film and there were "bad apples" in behavior (or perceived bad intentions) on both sides.
