Sill nothing. The game console worked on every other TV but mine. I even put it on game mode, even though I'm sure it has nothing to do with receiving signals (only skips things like rendering picture quality). I tried everything, this new Samsung TV is junk. "Smart" TV... HA!... It's a "Slow" TV... It's getting smashed and I'm going back to Vizio like I should have went in the first place.
Yeah this video was aimed at old men who don't know how to work a TV or tell when something is actually wrong because he reduced a tv to actual messing up as we're simple just using the wrong hdmi input.🤦

Sorry I was either half asleep or off my ass or something got cross-wired in the brain, but anyway, using my HDMI adapter that takes an analog signal with a way smaller resolution, wasn't ideal, and since I bought the stuff without considering maybe something like an HDMI mod coming out of my Wii. I just wanted a quick fix. Since most of my consoles are modded anyway, I probably should just bust out my soldering iron and mod them with those HDMI mod kits. Vga was available for years, and I know it would only appeal to a niche market at the time, but it couldn't be that costly to create a universal digital output jack alongside the analog. Yeah, for the most part, there most likely would not have been a practical use for most consumers at the time. Maybe if developers had some kind of hidden bypass on the board, to provide superior video display for any potential future purists. I already know manufacturers won't find it that lucrative to prolong the shelf life of discontinued systems, but I always hoped someone easily snuck it in there. Those aftermarket HDMI kits aren't too complicated and a friend of mine had no problems getting a signal. I apologize if I offended you or any other person who read my previous comment. I don't remember posting before, so like I said, was probably completely lost and I was at fault for acting like an idiot. I hope no hard feelings and everyone has a good day. I need to connect to HDMI1 but it is not available now; it is grayed out. I put on a new HDMI cable to make sure the cable is ok. Any other suggestions?
I agree..... I only have an over the air antenna hooked to the coaxial cable connection. TV shows 3 choices HDMI 1, HDMI 2 or USB... What can we do to watch over the air channels?

it could be a few things, 1. the cable is broken, 2. it has gunk on the terminals preventing a good signal, 3. the cable your trying to use doesn't meet the requirements for 4K or 144 Hz refresh rate< this is more unlikely, and lastley it could just be a faulty or incompatible device. I. Was under the assumption Samsung was one of the better companies. My 15 year old Sanyo still. Works with zero issues Samsung is. Just over a year and only constant is that whenever I switch from tv to any device including Nvidia shield, Firestick, raspberry pi, mini pc, dvd . Even if it’s left on, I have to go through the hdmi troubleshooting BS. Then it says buy new cable. I have top quality cables and since after 2 attempts to reconnect it finally locates the device. I only have the 2 ports and even if I swap no go. Tried everything I have seen and read. Tossing it in the garage and my use it out there some day but quite frankly it will eventually wind up with a hammer through the damn screen. Pure crap.
Oh absolutely. Read around the reviews and Samsungs own forums and they word it differently. They said “Yes we are aware of this behavior. Unfortunately that is just the way that series works and there is no way to fix it. Thank you for being part of the Samsung family. Then the thread was locked and marked as solved. I actually went back a few times over 2 or 3 days to see if that was real. Yep. Real hysterical. That solution probably won him the lamest most insulting solution to give someone let alone a whole forum full of them. I give the kudos now. No mor money ever but kudos up the wazoo
I unplug the Tv and it didn’t work and each time I try to connect it to the wifi it just kick me out and when I try to acces the setting for the dns and ip it won’t let me help pls

Wish this would have resolved my issue. No luck. All 3 hdmi ports out. Had a lightning surge 3 weeks ago and gradually my ports stopped working.
