This is something I wish I would’ve been able to do in my 20s. Good for you and for sharing 🤓

This makes me wonder can egg freezing be a form of immortality where a women chooses to freeze her eggs for 100 years or 200 years or even 1000 years where her future child will be born in the far future and in an era where all cancers and illness are a thing of the past.

You pay for the storage, so it would take some planning to store them for hundreds of years with how prices will change over time.

This doesn't affect me because for one I'm a man and two and most importantly I'm immortal and will outlive everyone and be the last human standing.

I had some lab mates in grad school who did this. I think it’s a good idea!

If things persist they should all buy an ult freezer and keep them at home. Then get a child tax credit every year to pay for the freezer and electricity 😂

Freezing eggs is NOT A GUARANTEE!!!! you can free 30 eggs and it STILL wont take. And 50% is due to SPERM fragmentation and lack of motility. Yes, if my insurance covered it, I would do it, but do I want to be a mom at 50? Probably not.
