It’s sad and that’s the reason some immigrants come to the USA and work their asses off. So even though Americans also struggle here with jobs, money, etc, it’s nowhere near as bad as other countries. I just wish there was a better/closer place for good, hard working people to immigrate to.
Holy crap. For those of us knowing Bald from his lighthearted strolls through the Russian wilderness, getting invited by families and drinking and riding with strangers in search of mosaiques, this is a totally new experience. Fantastic work as usual, dude. Please stay safe.
Watching this made me feel truly grateful for how lucky so many of us watching are to have a safe and secure place to live, sleep, access to water, food, clean clothes. This reminds me of when I summited a 6000m mountain in Bolivia and everything in my body was telling me to give up, I almost collapsed from dizziness and fatigue due to oxygen deprivation, with risks of avalanche and falling off sheer cliffs with nothing but a pickaxe, my three companions tied to me with a rope walking in single file and crampons to prevent my doom. And you showed the importance of people, helping each other and providing encouragement is how we all get through some of the most difficult physical challenges of our life. If it wasn't for the help and constant motivation to keep going of others, I could have possibly died. Thank you Bald for your incredible documentation of these challenging experiences, I felt like I was there with you.
I've been a fan of your channel for about 5 years and I'm usually a silent lurker, but man... This was an absolute masterpiece. Man, waving that bracelet in a boat on the open sea was nerve racking. I was expecting it to fly away. Thank you for taking on this journey. Seeing all the children was eye opening. As an American its brings on conflicted feelings. Children taking on such a dangerous journey.
This is easily the most engrossing Baldi video I've seen yet. This is next level stuff. We all know he has some balls but man, this is something else. What struck me as I watched through this video is that they must both have made connections with the people they were sharing the experience with - you can't go through all that together and not make a bond. It's something none of us can imagine without having done it. And sure enough Ben mentions this himself, towards the end. It seems unlikely he will know the fate of his fellow travellers but it's a small world and I would love to know in future if they met again. I truly hope that those people found better lives for themselves and their families. Baldi, thank you for sharing this incredible journey !

When I saw you get emotional talking about those you've met along the way and seeing that they survived....that was about as real and raw as it gets. B&B, you guys get every bit of the respect I have to give after 44 years of living. I have watched UA-camrs travel to many of the most dangerous places on earth. Places where just having fair skin alone can get you harassed, assaulted, detained, questioned, locked up, robbed, and even murdered. Had you made this trip alone and not had the company of a fluent Spanish speaker, I don’t think you would have made it. At the least it would have increased the difficulty of the trip by 10, at a minimum. It shocks me how many women with young children in tow attempt to make this trip. God has to have his hand on them the entire way. I don’t know how much you made off doing this trip, if anything at all. You should have regardless!! The courage to undertake this journey is monumental!! Thank you for sharing this and I am glad you and your partner made it in one piece!!
You deserve a best documentary award for this. Although daring and sometimes difficult to watch your unbiased empathy and stress on the good in human behavior gives me hope. Thank you Bald.
The camp was probably the most emotional part. It’s like the inbetween part, like a place in transition where you get to see how everyone made it and reflect on the journey. Almost brougt me to tears. RIP to those that didn’t make it.
Yea me too I thought like, the comedic moment would be funniest if he was talking about how important those things were as the speed boat was doing 60 knots and then the next second they're just gone in the wind 😂
This is genuinely THE most insane thing I've seen on UA-cam ever. The fact that you put yourself through this, unnecessarily is absolutely bonkers. But to actually see something like this is so eye opening. Kudos to you Bald, serious kudos

Unfortunately for many of them, they end up not being able to live in the US. All that said, this video is just better than any documentary out there, this is the pure reality of migrants, no CNN, BBC or Vice will ever make something that will achieve the quality this video has achieved.

The fact that you both have risked your lives to show us this shocking reality of the caminantes is something I will be forever grateful for being made aware about, and something I will never forget. The bond you've created with these lovely souls are so clearly shown in the end of this video. I shed a few tears with you in the end there, Bald. It feels nice to see you show some emotions in this. My upmost respect to the you Benjamin, to Timmy and of course every single one of the caminantes and their families, from the cold northern mountain tops of Europe I just want to say buena suerte en el futuro para todos ustedes!
This was gut wrenching. Among many tragedies, the story of the Angolan man and the family begging for food was a big blow for me. I really hope they got some help, no one deserves to starve in a jungle. On the other hand this video should be mandatory for those of us who complain about our lives, who worry about superficial things and who doesn't appreciate how fortunate we are. Thank you Bald and Tim for that. Bold and Tim at their peak. Looking forward for the next episode.
Yours and Simons YT channels have really opened my eyes to some of places you've been. It's really opened my mind as person. Thank you for doing a great job some politicians should be doing
I've been watching you since your first video, supporting you on Patreon ever since, and I never thought you could surpass your earlier content, but this is not just gold - it's diamond quality. I've watched many Darien Gap documentaries, but all of them felt staged or like guided tours. This, however, is the most authentic I've ever seen on UA-cam.
Oscar El Blue is. He's made the journey a couple of times. He's also been covering Mexico's boarders, North and South. He's based out of Tijuana. Part of the Wendy Bell network. Steve Bannon has him on his show on Rumble. He's a good independent journalist. Even though his pro Mexico bias does interfer with his objectivity sometimes.
On the francophone side of UA-cam, there are some really great ones. I can for example on top of my head think about Cyrille Amoursky, Camille Courcy or Charles Villa
I don't know what kind of award this deserves, but whatever category this falls into this at least deserves a nomination. This is absolutely MENTAL. Thank you for filming this and bringing light to the situation Bald.

Absolutely horrendous. Wherever these "migrants" are going there is just shit, garbage destruction, rape, robbery, murder. And all this is coming to the US. Thanks you Biden.
This should be nominated for a journalism award. This is the story we need to be seeing and this is what true journalism should be, showing the story with no spin. Modern news and journalism is a sham; written from the comfort of their own homes and green rooms regurgitating their aligned party’s agenda. Bald and bankrupt you are a brave man, thank you for sharing this journey with the world.
I think we can all agree this has been the most compelling video you've ever released. Thank you for sharing this journey. Lost for words on what other humans are going through while I sit eating my breakfast in a safe warm house. Wishing you safety and security on your next adventures.
You're absolutely crazy Ben, but you don't know how much I appreciate what you do. I got to know your channel because of your trips to Eastern Europe, and I never thought you'd do something as insane as this. And I say I appreciate what you do a lot because I'm from Ecuador, and I hear about my people leaving our country looking for a brighter future every day and crossing the Darien risking their lives, and getting to see what they actually have to face it's just, mind boggling. We're truly facing an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe and I thank you for exposing things as they truly are.
Probably the best content I've watched on UA-cam (I've watched a lot). Benjamin is an intelligent guy and always manages to convey the emotional as well as the practical hardships. He made sure this was all about the poor people he was traveling with (not himself). Absolute legend. Respect. ❤
One thing I particularly love is you don’t overdramatize it, you downplay the seriousness so well, I hate sensationalized content and tons of bells and whistles, you have such a great way of just letting the content (the great people, their mother tongue in subtitles, the amazing vistas) speak for themselves
This should win an award. Some of the best coverage I’ve seen of an impossible place. I liked how you went from thinking your fellow travellers were going to get you to making friends. Just don’t do it again! 😅
This is why I love this channel, no one does it like him. No drama, no emotional music, no overacting, only raw reality. Hats off to you bald, keep adventuring. That being said, please do the adventuring somewhere safer from now, absolutely no content is worth drying for, please be safe
I don't think he did it for "the content" more so like his friend Timmy. If you remember, he just approached a random guy who looked european (happend to be from Greece) and said "do u wanna come with me crossing the Darien?" and he just agreed. Lol. I mean I guess that's how you make friends abroad, but I think it's more of a "let's do this insane thing." just for the experience of it. I know I've been like that before and my father was like that when he was younger too. Even though he just happens to film stuff, I think he's the type of person who would've done that regardless of the camera or not. Judging how fearless he really is.
You're amazing you have real courage to do this I lived in Bolivia and I used to go to Venezuela when it was one of the most beautiful countries the wealthiest in Latin America and look at it today
I've never seen this man so distraught and emotional before, you can tell the ordeals he has seen on that journey. Big props to him for taking the risk. Keep up the good work!!!
Wow! You and Timmy have such a great sense of humor in the most difficult of circumstances. I applaud you guys. Having been to Panama I know what the jungle is like and it can kill you. Bravo to anyone that survives this harrowing journey.
How children make this journey is nothing but a miracle 🙏🏾. It broke my heart when you mentioned the dead bodies. Thank you for being brave to document this - no powerful media network care about this truth. It is truly a life and death experience. Well done sir 🙏🏾
The parents of these children are irresponsible people who do not love and care about their children. No money or 'American dream' is worth risking the lives of your children. But anyway, keep justifying the madness and irresponsibility. And I am Mexican and I know what life is like in LATAM, and it is true that in almost all countries, you can live decently if you work. I live near the train, and every day I hear of people falling on the tracks and losing limbs, including children.
Woah. This isn't a travel vlog but, like, real journalism. It's soul-crushing to see so many children make this dangerous trip because you know those at the greatest risk of disease, drowning, and injury. Even when folks make this trip, they're not even close to the US. This was hard to watch and I teared-up several times at the shots of children, who so closely resemble my own. There are better days ahead for Venezuelans, eventually.
Venezuela has more oil than Saudi Arabia! Venezuelans could be the richest people in the world per capita. But, the Western warlords have imposed crippling sanctions on the country and made the currency worthless, forcing the people to flee or live in complete misery. Why? ..because the Western warlords want all that oil for free like they did in Iraq, Libya, etc. Whether Bald acknowledges it or not, his country, the UK is one of the countries with a direct hand in the orchestrated misery of the Venezuelan people.
Wow this episode takes the cake . It's rare to watch a UA-cam video that will impact you for along time.

The Brazilian kid was so cute...these people just need a chance at a fair future for themselves man
The current US government is the main culprit giving false hopes to these people
@petermaurer7359 They still believe in the American dream; do we?
Venezuela has more oil than Saudi Arabia! Venezuelans could be the richest people in the world per capita. But, the Western warlords have imposed crippling sanctions on the country and made the currency worthless, forcing the people to flee or live in complete misery. Why? ..because the Western warlords want all that oil for free like they did in Iraq, Libya, etc. Whether Bald acknowledges it or not, his country, the UK is one of the countries with a direct hand in the orchestrated misery of the Venezuelan people.

Probably one of the best documentaries I have watched on this platform. You both have documented the journey so well. Powerful footage!
Everyone needs to watch this to see firsthand what these people go through, i truly appreciate your hard work
This was the most intense episode Benjamin has ever been produced. I've watched every minute of it and every minute was eye-opening. Thanks for this masterpiece!
They worried about Panama's immigration. Experience, however, tells me that in impoverished countries a small bribe can work wonders.
This truly deserves an award for the most raw journalism content.. I cannot fathom the journey and emotions you've endured.
Nominate him!
This is definitely and without a doubt one of the best videos on this platform and it shows what a legend you are! Much love and respect to you mate
This may still be the greatest journalism on UA-cam
I hope people realize how important and significant a video like this is. Brave isn't even the right word well done as always Bald
5 days through the Darien Gap where anything could’ve happened to him without anyone ever knowing, and then 7 days in a horrid Panamanian detainment camp later, somehow Bald continues to manage doing things that I don’t think we’ll ever see other UA-camrs doing
The other guy will prolly be Anton Lyadov! I hope to see them team up one day!
The mix of emotions I felt watching this: extreme compassion, increased gratitude, frustration that people have to go through this at all, relief that you and those you traveled with survived. You were divinely protected so the world can see what people have to go through to have a better life. As a mother of a toddler, seeing those babies being carried through it all made me feel so foolish for complaining about carrying my child up 1 flight of stairs. I pray that God protects those who will begin the journey and those who are traversing the Darien now, and comforts those who lost loved ones along the way. Thank you so much for sharing your experience!
yea, to go to the world's most hated country remind you
