Watching a live football game in Brazil!

Second day into our trip to Rio de Janeiro and we spontaneously joined a tour offered by our hostel to attend a huge football match in Rio de Janeiro. It was Amanda's first live sporting event that she's ever been to. I think it's going to be hard to beat!

i´m curious now, how you compares brazilian soccer to it´s (kind of) counterpart playoffs in american football tourneys? arenas, cheering, emotions...

I’m probably not the best person to ask, I’ve only been to a couple Major League Baseball games and one college American football game (big one though) and it was not like in Brazil 😄 Americans need cheerleaders and entire bands to come for entertainment, Brazilians are their own entertainment. Their energy is unbelievable

@@chrisandamanda490 Football here in Brazil is more linked with identity, sense of community and loyalty. Being part of a football club here carries deeper social values than it may look like for people who never were huge on sports, especially when you consider that most traditional and well-established clubs have over 110 years of history and participation in society.
