Cannon had done Missing in Action 1 & 2 in 1984 and 1985, and I guess Norris had saved enough POWs for a couple years; bring in Carradine who can lazy his way through the movie. I suspect they reused many of the same Phillipines sets.
Yea...RedEye needs to write the dialog for a entire movie
10:50 to be clear.. Steve "Golden Eagle" James was in key.. singing perfectly.. taking the song to new heights.. all through the power of his inner magnificence and the power of his 'stache. It was everyone else that was singing that was off-key and singing so horribly that there was no danger of demonetization.

Great review, Steve James is the man no doubt about it. If you want some more Jamesy goodness I suggest Street Hunter. It starts both Steve James and Reb Brown, pretty much the ultimate combination of action movie gods.
Cooper is basically James Braddock with another name. I guess Cannon wanted to capitalize on the popularity of Missing in Action.
This movie taught that the most important lesson about Vietnam was to just have fun.
