My new Musical is 5 hours long. I need the whole script to scroll up the screen at the same speed as the performers. The scrolling text contains a lot of information that is relevant to production crew. I have tried to make a Photoshop image that became a PSB file, which I converted to TIFF. All the hard work with text colours etc was lost when I realised that Premiere chopped my image down to only 32,000 pixels tall. I might as well go back to screen recording my Word scroller and not touch the mouse for five or six hours so I don't lose frames. Please help! I can only find beginner information on this topic. I am using Premiere CS6.

How can you make the crawl appear multiple times then go off screen?

I think at this point Adobe needs to partner up with Chyron for their native title tool and be done with it.

That's fine and all, but what if you have to make a change in the text, like I had to do on a pending project? I don't want to have to go back into Notepad or whatever, make the change(s), and re-paste it. Premiere's old Legacy Title gave you the ability to simply click a Crawl checkbox, and as you moved the cursor throughout all the text, it would move the text horizontally as you navigated through it so you could easily see the part of the text you needed to edit. You didn't need to set motion keyframes for the crawl, just tell it which direction to crawl (left-to-right or right-to-left). Premiere once had a true crawl feature that Adobe needs to bring back.

Yah, so I think this moved more onto the side of After Effects. You can now links templates across, so I think that is what Adobe is expecting. If you get the template across, you can just paste in the text, and have the full power of After Effects to process it. But I agree, it should not have been removed without a clear path forward.
