Pottery Studio Vlog Episode 8. Speedball Underglaze Test Plate, Bead Week Preview & Black Bowl

It’s a short but sweet Vlog this week.
Starting the week with a test plate of the new Speedball underglazes. I love their choice of colors to add to their line of underglazes. I will be doing a video showing all of the speedball underglazes and comparing the new colors to existing ones in a few weeks.
The Frozen pond bowl did not turn out how I wanted it too but it is still beautiful. I will get back to it after bead week is over and will do a class on ClayShare for everyone soon showing that technique.
I love how the little charms turned out to this year’s bead week! This year is the biggest bead week we have done to date and I really focused on keeping the classes more potter-friendly than jewelry maker friendly, if that makes sense.
I can’t wait to share how the Gothic Heart pieces turned out and want to know what glaze(s) would you use on them?

I agree! Firebrick would be a great red option and staying with Amaco glazes would pair nicely with Obsidian celadon!
