Hi Dinesh, Thanks for liking it. You only need to buy Silver NOL card if you are a tourist. No ticket required. Simply tap the NOL card on entry and exit gates.

You can simply take the luggage in with you. You can carry two pieces of luggage with you on a Dubai Metro train - one large suitcase (no bigger than 81cm x 58cm x 30cm) and one carry-on bag (no bigger than 55cm x 38 cm x 20cm).

There is no name printed. However, there is a card number printed on every NOL card which is unique number. You can note that number to identity that card for each of you. 7 days pass is good for excessive usage, i think it is 25AED for card plus 91AED for 7 days pass (pls check), make sure you select all 7 zones while recharging the card. As for the 7 days unlimited pass we havnt used it but i have some idea about it, it is covinient option and relatively cost effective if you have to use it frequently. You can also recharge it after 7 days if you travel days extend. It covers Metro, Trams and busses but not water transport i think. Pls make sure you use it first time the day when you plan to start visiting places as the more places you cover more cost effective it will be. It should cover all zones in Dubai, just reconfirm at the time of purchasing it.
Hi Rahul, the distance of major attractions from Metro stations varies from place to place. Metro goes directly to Dubai Mall, Mall of the Emirates. For other attractions after taking Metro, you may have to walk a little or take a taxi. However if you are travelling to Dubai 90% of your commutation will be through Metro because it is cheaper and easy to commute.
A tip for you, download Metro Map from RTA website. This way you will have an idea of attractions you want to cover and near by Metro stations/Metro routes. I hope it helps.
Hi Laxmi, I do not get your point correctly but i think you are asking about NOL card. You need to have NOL card to ride in a Metro, there is no seperate ticket. You can top-up NOL card from NOL Machines or customer service counter available at every Metro Stations . Yes, the extra amount can be refunded, if it is less than AED100, you can get reund as Cash from Customer service counter at Metro stations. If balance is more than 100AED, you can tramsfer balance to another registered NOL card through RTA website. Minimum NOL balance should be AED15 for NOL card to remain usable. You have to top-up additional amount as per your travelling needs. You can start with additional top up of AED 20 or 30, and when the balances is low, you can top-up more whenever you need. Yes both are allowed BUT only Gold NOL Card holders can use Gold Class cabin otherwise there is a heavy penalty.

You will insert money in the machine one by one. For example, insert Rs. 100 first, then Rs. 20 then Rs. 5.
