- In this video I am going to share details about the Dubai Metro and how you can save money on your next trip to Dubai by spending your money wisely on dubai metro instead of any other public transport.
Dubai has a good connectivity of public transport throughout the city right from the Dubai International Airport. Travelling by Dubai metro will require you to carry NOL cards which is basically the metro card which you can also use to access different public transport options like buses.
Dubai Metro operates in two different lines, red line and a green line metro station.
Dubai Metro also attracts a lot of fines if you are not careful enough so make sure to follow all the rules duly and not end up in a situation where you have to pay metro fine.

when I will return back to my country .. Do I have to surrender my metro card to someone and
once I surrender my card what about balance if any is there in it.. Aur wo 25 aed mei I get 19 aed as balance.. Remaining 6 aed mujhe return honge?
If you have balance in your card which is less than 100 AED then you can get the balance refund in cash from any metro station at a processing charge of 2.5% or 5 AED whichever is higher. If it is higher than 100 Aed then you will have to visit RTA office to get the refund.
The 6 AED charged to you while issuing the card is non refundable and you don’t need to surrender the card unless you want the refund.

harsh bro hi!my silver card worth 25aed got expired in july 2022 and now its 14.sep.2022and there was 13.5 balance .as i am not a frequent traveller but sometimes travel ?can i use this expired card on metro and gates will open or not or will i be fined for doing so?or should i buy new silver card and can this old balance can be transfered in new card ?can i use expired card to buy things ?plese guide thanks.
When i tried to top-up nol card from the counter. He told me that the card is expired. So i bought new card. Also i told him there is some balance in my expired card. He told yes you can use your nol card. So i taped in a bus it worked. Once the balance will be below 7.5 for the bus or maybe for the metro 3.5 something. You can't top-up that card because it's expired. But you can use your balance in expired card.

There is a 135 AED NOL card that is valid for 7 days which provides you unlimited travel across metro, buses, trams etc. This is as of May 2023
