Visiting Agia Marina Donkey Rescue on Crete

I went back to Agia Marina Donkey Rescue center on crete. It's one of my favorite places. When someone can't care for their donkey anymore they let them be retired and live out their life there. Some people used to just tie their donkey to a tree without food or water and let them starve to death when they couldn't take care of them anymore, but now they call the rescue center instead. The donkeys are very cuddly and social and intelligent and they love to be brushed.
