I close my eyes and count to ten And wonder why I just don't pack it in I tell myself it's one of those days And not for now and always I pace, I prowl, I punch the wall And wonder why I just don't end it all I tell myself it's a passing phase And not for now and always There's never anything strong that's louder, And when there's anything on its over, I'd rather anything then but now & always
Loved me some Rockpile in the mid 70's. I had this album and played it a lot. Good harmony from Dave and Nick.
A brilliant ditty. Such sparkling harmonies. Just exceptional.
YES! It reminds so much of the Everly Brothers with the gorgeous harmony.
懐かしい😂🎉
thanks😂🎉
What a great song. Shades of Buddy Holly and the Everly Brothers.
I never get tired of this song.
I've heard it a million times.
2 million :-)
the vocal work on this is superb as well as Dave Edmunds guitar I love this song I love rock pile for me this is classic rock
Richard Sabsay - Not to belittle Dave Edmunds of course , but I guess the best guitar parts are by Billy Bremner actually...
@@pit2ryan3 They are both great guitarists. I think Dave is the greater technician, evidenced by his early stuff with Love Sculpture.
いい曲ですよね〜🎵❤️
love the 50s sound that rockpile channeled in their music
The intro sounds like Buddy Holly's "I'm Gonna Love You Too." Not a bad thing! Definitely some Everly Bros thrown in, too.
Great song. Should have been a hit. Great guitar riffs by Dave Edmonds. A real challenge to play but a lot of fun trying!
A REAL challenge to play.
could have been the everley brothers,
Kings of New Wave pub rock--and strange key changes.
Love this. Wish it were a pasing phase

The best rocking band ewer
Holy shades of Buddy Holly's "Learning the Game!"
How was this not a hit?
25 years too late.
It's a B-side! A-side was Wrong Way.
Touch of Buddy Holly here.
And Everly Brothers.
They were even better live. Saw them opening for Blondie. No contest.
saw them open for van morrison...both were incredible!
Awesome!
I hear a lot of Buddy Holly in this one.
Rockpile died because of contractual issues. Pity, as this wonderful song shows.
Omg, sonds like the Beales!
I knew she would be mine someday
And that day has arrived
Why not on Spotify?
It is on Spotify. I just looked.
@@cak813 really ? I can't find it
@@MarnixRoels Just plug the title and the artist into the search mode. It’s there.
@@cak813 I see some playlists with that name, but not the song by Rockpile
@@MarnixRoels I don’t know what to tell you. It’s definitely available as a single song because I’ve added it to one of my own playlists.
