I think Blizzard won’t pay more attention to wild because playing wild is so much cheaper than playing standard. They don’t want a repeat of the China servers where Wild is the most popular format
Yeah, Raza Priest is one of the reasons I am distancing from hs every day and started playing mtg for a week. Then again, loatheb is one of the cards that gives you some chance of countering stupid op decks, at least stall them a bit. To "correct" loatheb, one should first balance a lot of other cards. Not a priority at all
The problem is not Loatheb, it's the only card that make fast and tempo decks playable, in Wild we have a big problem with stupids AoEs, that's why Midrange decks are not playable at all and fun decks based in build a board for 2 or 3 turns are a utopia, like token Midrange druid (with Violet teacher, Wisps of the Old gods, etc.). Nerfing Loatheb means that you have no protection agains "i don't give a damn what health minons have" boardclears like Psychic scream or Twisting Nether. The problem it's a explosive board in 1 turn that cannot be responded (the same that happened with Sea Witch Giant decks or Darkest Hour Warlock), and in this case, the problem is Darkglare. If Loatheb is nerfed, the big clearboards must be nerfed as well. If the only way to clear boards is with spells, that means that the game mode is screwed, it would be way more fun if the control of the board would most based in trading, this would be great to revive Midrange decks and make Hunter a class that doesn't suck. Also, they should be nerf stupid aggro cards like Voracius Reader, Patches and Tour Guide. Reno Priest wasn't played with the nerfed Raza, if it's nerfed, it won't be played. The real problem is Anduin's hero card.
Yo Jack ! That is a great video and i am so glad that other wild content creators besides Solem and Zeddy said something about this. The dust system is close to antique and we needed that change years ago. Although i am a big fan of Meowth and Corbs podcast, i was kinda dissapointed when they said that the new battlepass system was not that bad. It is horrible. It needed to give the game some fresh air and they only gave us a couple of hundred pesos and called it a day. That ain't it. I too doubt about the dust system. But just imagine if they did it. Standard players would make some aggro tier 1 or 2 decks and joined the show. And when it comes to loatheb, i dunno man. To some extent you are right, but that was one of the best cards ever printed , along with zilliax ( even stronger than him) and i would be so sad if he lost his signature battlecry. I know that it's healthier for the future metas to just nerf him, but i couldn't get over it. I would rather nerf every other card that comes out but thaz is a terrible design philosophy. Loatheb only gets stronger with time. I dunno, we need to have a discussion with Team 5 about that, but hey, guess who is silent and doesn't want to communicate. appreciate it bro. i actually have to side with corbett and meowth that the battlepass system is an improvement over the previous one, but only on paper - optically it needs a lot of work to feel better. hearthstone has been consistently making moves in the right direction for like two years but it's super sad to see wild get left in the dust despite that. i feel like a fucking arena player lmao

Wild is like modern or legacy or vintage in mtg. With every new expansion there are less cards included in meta decks and even less completely new decks. When sth gets dominant it's gonna stay that way until blizz nerfs it or when sth even stronger comes out
I don't keep up with the vintage meta too much, but hasn't it been really shaken up in 2020? War of the spark with Karn and Narset, then whole nonsense with companions, etc?

The loatheb nerf is such a longtime coming. It's the peak of uninteractive card design. 5 mana, your opponent can do nothing next turn, never feels good on the other end. It's a card that can be reasonably put into just about any aggro list as a "fuck you my board can't be removed". The raza nerf is also a longtime coming. Like zeddy said, raza was nerfed for a reason. Great video jack
Loatheb is the best card in Wild. I whish he whouldn`t be a legendary but an epic card instead. We need even more good cards like Loatheb so players can do something/more against non interactive control decks like Reno Priest. - Loatheb is not the problem, was never a problem and will be never a problem. To cheat out giants for 0 mana is the problem - not the only tech card against noninteractive decks.
Do you think they'll make changes to make the game cheaper when the game starts dying (I don't mean straight-up dying, but when they notice there are less and less players and packs bought with every expansion)
I can agree with loteph but for me reverting razza would be total kill reno priest, ofc now is so strong but that 1 mana hero power sucks af, back when it was nerfed reno priesdt was litterly troll deck.

I think that a fair nerf to Raza should be that its battlecry only make the actual hero power cost 0. In this way you will have to think ''better to use it now to survive against aggro or keep it for when I have played ShadowReaper Anduin?''

I want 2 things: competitive incentive for wild, and an improved dust system. More rewards sprinkled throughout would be great, but not necessary.

I think Loatheb needs a nerf but that seems a bit extreme. I think changing the spell mana cost increment to 3 would be fair.
i think poison seeds and ruin should be playable on curve against loatheb. i wouldn't mind if the card got deleted

pen flinger can still OTK super easily especially with palm reading, etc. spawn nerf wouldn't fix the problem
