Literally stumbled across your channel while looking for Twingo RS reviews. Thinking of getting a Twingo as a daily driver / light track car so this video has been brilliant. I've subscribed and looking forward to going back and watching the start of your project.
When you think your Twingo is ready you should do a track comparison with one of our Mazda2 race cars. Manchester / Wrexham (depending on which team member you ask) so can't be far from you.
Driving here you have the same struggles we have racing where we are better on the brakes and just as fast through the corners as everyone else.

Great you enjoyed your taster session. Good awareness and improving pace.
Still remember my first track day, had to peel off the grin, but that was 26 years ago. On your Oulton day I was one of the “eager beavers…..blowing off steam” in the silver Porsche Cayman.

Certainly had a lot of smiles per miles and was a great morning, will be back in December I think! I think I was perhaps parked next to you at one point in the paddock too?

I am only familiar with this track from the Project Cars games, always found it a harder track to get comfortable with. Cool to see the real thing through your eyes though and still able to recognise it (don't watch real racing except for a few times at Snetterton). I'd be very stressed from all that traffic though, so good for you for handling all that. Cheers

I did a few laps in my pickup last year which helped get some real experience of the layout plus a lot of laps on Assetto Corsa helped mentally prepare the layout so I didn't have to worry about remembering where to go. Certainly a challenging track with a bit of everything.

Great to finally see the Twingo on the track. Is the intention to take it into competition?

Not sure it has the grunt for competitions, might do some AutoTest/AutoSolo events which arent so power demanding though.

I want to take my car on a race track here in Brno, still not sure tho. I would be probably the slowest one there too with boring 1.6L 99kW engine :D

More power than this has, just get some good tyres/brakes and brake fluid and full send it.

@@CreweTube well its my daily car so :D currently have summer falken tires (nothing too expensive tho), brakes and fluid OEM, but at least our track is pretty big/wide in case of any failure :D

How did the pads hold up, and how much was left? I _imagine_ you might get away with the stock pads given how much lightening was applied :)

They were certainly squealing at end but after an hour cooling were fine on drive home. Not actually taken wheels off to give a good look but they look like they have a lot left.
Will be swapping for the new set+discs I bought originally though which are all Brembo HC so slightly better than stock.
