Hello my brother, I bought a saddle bags, Like yours, I have the same motorcycle, you have a video or photos of the bracks you used especially the support of the fender tracero, thank you, excellent work
I'm about to get stretch bags for my street glide and a stretch fender. I'm wanting to retrofit the old bags and fender to my son's vstar 1100. I might even see if when I do my 21 inch front wheel and 21 wrap front fender if I can fit the old front fender on the vstar. We are planing a bat wing for it so the harley bags and fenders will look nice with it. Good thing is my harley and the vstar are both black so won't need to paint it.
So the belt gaurd is attached to the swing arm and moves up and down when your riding and hitting bumps. 🤔 did I miss the part where you turned this into a hard tail or have you not figured out how poorly your bike rides after the bag install?
I like what you did to the bike. I like to do the same thing to the same bike you have. How did you do the installation and what hardware did you use. I to see that attachment of the saddlebags. Thanks.
It looks like you had to remove the chrome fender supports and the turn signals to mount the bags. Did that weaken the rear fender support? And what did you end up doing about your turn signals? Do you have a picture of the turn signals on the bike?
I had my bags mounted, but I loss the space for the passenger pegs and my older brackets didnt handle the weight very well causing the brackets to bend in and hit the swing arm on bumps. Pretty well got the mounting figured out now but am also a bit stumped on the turn signals. I want to move the bags back further but cant with the stock signal set up. Kicking around ideas and searching for a simple answer to that problem myself.
I was trying to figure out how to keep the bags from rubbing on the belt guard. Thank you for the ideas!

You think i can fit them on a 2006 vstar classic 1100? Tia
Would this work if the bike has been lowered about 1.5”
Cool, I have thought about the same application.

So, i know this is a few years old, but i do have a few questions if you could answer them. just reply to this comment if you dont mind.
Why do none of these guys ever want to answer questions? It’s like they think they are the king and can’t let anyone else know how to do something lol
