Izzy talks about Kelvin with such respect. To this day. I think he will always be grateful that Kelvin took him to a place he didn’t know he was capable of going. Izzy says that all the time when talking about Kelvin. He also says he will eventually see Kelvin again, fighting for the MW title because Kelvin has that dog and that belief in himself.

Problem is.. is that Gastelum isn’t disciplined. If he had a proper strength and conditioning coach, a nutritionist who’s strict, and had the discipline to follow through with his diet and training then yeah maybe he’d fight for a title again. But he fucks off and eats shit he shouldn’t be eating as a professional

This was awesome. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a fighter analyze their own fight like this. Especially a loss.
I remember this fight vividly. It was the fight that made me an MMA fan. I had always watched and appreciated MMA because I grew up wrestling and doing martial arts. But this is the fight that got me obsessed with MMA and I’ve even obsessed ever since.
The fact that Max versus Dustin and this fight were on one card never ceases to amaze me.
