  • You start a game with 180 seconds at the World Blitz. Your game generally lasts for 40 moves. That makes it an average of 4-5 seconds per move. But here you have a game where Magnus Carlsen thinks for half of his time - 90 seconds for one move. His opponent is Shakhriyar Mamedyarov. Check out this battle to see who comes out on top along with thrilling commentary by IM Sagar Shah.

You are a good chess commentator because you understand the game well and have a quick forward analysis🤔which is not possessed by everybody who has chess youtube. I wonder why you did not go for a GM title, but maybe what you are doing is more satisfying than a title😊Keep it up, your fast style of increasing crescendo of chess commentating transforming a mental game like a physical sport is a unique gift👏🙏

That was really a stupid thing, to be honest. He is already an international master, so even I, a 2000 online user, can understand the positions. The key is to figure out which moves to make at that moment, but once the move is made in the game, we can quickly understand why they made it. More importantly, though, is that he was using an engine and had previously analysed this game because it wasn't a live commentary.

@@glaums5832 If there would be no increment, then quality of chess will decline drastically, As every move will be in hurry which will result in more blunders. Also, increments gives us better end game as players usually have 2-3 seconds for next move in end game. So, i think its a good idea. And you get a fare enough chance to fight hard even though you are low on time, rather than just getting flagged by opponent in every other game.
If you yourself play chess, try playing 1+0 & 1+1, you will understand the difference.
