He's takented, but genius is a bit of a stretch lol. "Freakin you" and "Feenin" were mediocre at best. Their first album however was brilliantly arranged and produced.
You CLEARLY don't know music... The fact that Devante played ALL the instruments & the non-traditional way in which he arranged the 4 part harmonies were insane, period.
What kind of "genius" falls off after like 4 years? I don't deny his talent, but I do think he's overrated by his takeruppers. And he certainly wasn't as good as he believed he was. Maybe a little humility would have benefitted his career in the long-run.
The man skull was cracked open when the robbery happened. Also he went underground because of the Tupac and Biggie murders and dealing with raising and protecting his family and dealing with some personal issues of his own.

What kind of "genius" falls off after like 4 years? I don't deny his talent, but I do think he's overrated by his takeruppers. And he certainly wasn't as good as he believed he was. Maybe a little humility would have benefitted his career in the long-run.
