    www.humblebundle.com/software...
    This Humble Bundle is a collection of 3D environments from FreshCan3D for Unreal Engine and Unity, although as you can see from the video and the links below, you can easily export and use them in other game engines such as the Godot game engine. There are also several characters from Yarrawah in the bundle as well.

      so how many of this bundle are duplicates? (i've bought pretty much all of these bundles, so your purchase history should be mainly the same as mine. Humble doesn't show them with a picture (on the account purchases section), unlike the last one that used cd albums)

    Its not "weird interior lighting issues", its what happens with high exposure adaptation values and runtime multisample GI. Just change to unlit or change the project/world PP settings. I have seen you mention it 3 times now I just wanted to say something

    There are good stuff but I don’t understand why humble bundle keep mixing engines. Most of people only focus on one engine at the time. Why is it like that ?

    So, out of the current 3 asset bundles, how would you rank them for Godot? There's this one, but there's also the Essential Unreal Engine Collection and the Total asset madness for Unreal & Unity... would love getting them but I'm never sure if there's too many blueprint components that I'm not going to be able to export.

    • @gamefromscratch
      @gamefromscratch  20 днів тому +1

      This one is by far the easiest, only the characters you would struggle with, otherwise very few Blueprints

      Did you get it & manage to export stuff? I've had 0 issue exporting from the low-poly bundle, but have been having trouble exporting assets from this one. Trying to export individual assets (sometimes) works, but the overview scenes don't.

    I get, that you can export the models to other game engines but is it really allowed? I mean there could be a line in the license agreement that says "use only with UE", no?

    • @gamefromscratch
      @gamefromscratch  20 днів тому +3

      See linked video below. But nutshell default license on both asset stores permit it. Custom licenses may not.

    Cool Designs. But I don`t understand the workflow (regarding UE). So If i go the checkout in the mentioned link and pay for it. How it will translate to my Epic account in my Unreal engine account library. And will it be also written in marketplace that I bought that. Clarification please as this what it hinders me to buy?. Also in further UE version updates, will it be compatible with continuous updates?

    • @gamefromscratch
      @gamefromscratch  20 днів тому

      What specifically do you mean "pay for it"? Are you talking about the Unreal Engine to Unity exporter plugin?
      If so, more details here:
      ua-cam.com/video/N6zLAxOuZbk/v-deo.html
      If you are talking about exporting a scene (or asset) to GLB, FBX, etc... you don't need to pay for anything (other than the models you're exporting I suppose)

      The page with the Redeem Keys should also have a link to Instructions on where to go to redeem the keys.

    The problem with "getting stuff out of" unreal is that you need to actually install that monster. Not to mention, how do we know it's legal to use these assets in godot? Does the license ok that?

    • @arioamin
      @arioamin 19 днів тому

      Update: Just double checked and this was not true, ignore my initial statement. It is only true if the content also contains UE-ONLY content (like metahumans and assets gotten from megatextures and such)
      Original message:
      When I started to use Unreal about a decade ago in version 4.3 there was an explicit section of the license which clarified that the marketplace assets are only allowed to be used for UnrealEngine games and exporting them out to another engine is not actually allowed and will break the license. Unless they have updated the license since then and I am just out of the loop

    • @neelclaudel4837
      @neelclaudel4837 19 днів тому

      Yeah I was thinking the same, I don’t understand why they always mixing engines that’s quite annoying for a lot of people actually. Then you asked a legitimate question regarding the license too… I don’t get it
      Even if it’s cheap but what the point of buying stuffs that you will not be able to use ?

    If a game didn't sell very well, and yet looked fantastic - could a publisher recoup some of its losses by selling the assets here? I'm thinking the Remaster of Dead Space, which is a fifteen year old IP, looked amazing, and they're sure they're not going to remaster any more from the series.

    • @zinetx

      Ah yes, 20 Million budget games recouping $20,000 which Humble Bundle take $8,000 from, and charity take $1,000 and payment processor $500.
      lol.
      Epic games gave the Paragon game assets for free after it failed. I think this is a valid approach.

    exporting to Godot is not as easy as you make it sound. You can't bulk export assets and when you export a whole level it often just doesn't work. I actually went manually through the whole "Military Training Facitlity" Level from an earlier humble bundle and exported every mesh by itself and still had lots of texture issues on the walls and lots of stuff not really working well. Yes you can export single models but if you actually wanna use like a whole Map/Environment pack you likely gonna have a very bad time.
