Great content for a basic resource s-curve. Setting the timescale to Week/Day increases the detail. Group and Sort by resource is also a nice touch. I recommend that people learn about Excel Tables and Excel Data Models managed in Power Query. Unpivoting the timescale data in Power Query, connecting to the query, and adding the data to Excel’s Data Model, will establish the basis for a powerful: pivot table, pivot chart, slicers, and selectable timescale. With pivot tables, you don’t need P6’s Spreadsheet Field for “Cumulative…” because pivot tables can perform “Running Total in” say “Date”. I think the Spreadsheet Field for “Remaining Late…” is far more valuable. Alternatively, creating the Excel Data Model spreadsheet can feed Microsoft Power BI, which has better data visualizations compared to Excel.
Mr. Good evening. I hope this message finds you well. Do you have by any chance, tips or Works related to criation of S Curve with primavera P6 conected to SQL DB If you could share I would aprecciated. Thanks in advance Regards.
Well done, but I have a question. How do you determine the Actual Progress of a WBS for a large project when, on average, each WBS can have as many as 100 Level 4 tasks? So, in this case with 1000 WBS (Work Packages), you have 1000 WBS x 100 Tasks/WBS = 100,000 Tasks?

Power query would eliminate the copy just the resources part once and for all!
Just filter activity description as blank and Eureka

What do you mean? Each task is updated and the earned hours roll up to whatever level you want to report at.
