My wife and I were in the audience for this show. When picking a day to attend there was one day where the guest wasn't listed - just a question mark in that slot. Knowing Craig's show, some guests that week were too slow for him, others were too weird for even for Craig, so we selected the wildcard show and were thrilled when they later penned in Robin Williams' name. He was so good, they cut very little out. Towards the end Robin hits his stride and begins to pull away from Craig in the race of wit. Such a privilege to have seen it not long before he left us.
To my pr. date knowledge: Craig is the only tv-host that I have seen, that: a) where able to make R.W laugh out loud on a tv-set, like he did in his company, and b) where able to, not only fully understand where R.W was going with any comment, - but also - in totally full honesty; - - Where being able to stay juuuust that million-micro-second in front of him, at all times!, so that he could, immensely briefly - naturally, (somewhat) prepare himself for what was coming next from R.W! - - -Knowing R.W; ... It could shift either way, in between that million-micro second thought. From thought to mought - some time it could take a while... ;-) It could be have been "The Clash of Comedian Titans!", but you know... When you have reached the level, where two comedian giants finishes each other sentences... Then, your are just left in a... Mindblowing: W o w! :-) R.I.P. R.W!
So sweet and sad to hear the audience go “Awwww” when Robin had to go. Especially because this was really goodbye. “We had our little fun for a brief moment. The moment of our fun was very good, we tried many different things.” It’s like Robin summing up his life.
The whole Scottish hair dressers bit was gold. "The higher your hair is, the nearer you are to god", Robin just comes up with this on the spot, with a flawless Scottish accent while talking to a Scotsman! Legend.
hes definitely a genius and no doubt. but ive also definitely heard him use that line before on a different interview. its possible its some of his unused writing for a show or something. robin was amazing and hilarious. but he was still human. he reused quite a bit of his material fairly regularly. youll likely notice it if you are as obsessive as i am about watching his old interviews. ive seen what i believe to be 99 percent of them at this point. i love the man.
You’ll never see the chemistry that Craig and robin shared anywhere else. They had a comedic connection. Robin acts a totally different way around him.
Agree..other hosts just sit back and pretend to get his jokes...meanwhile Craig and Robin fees off each other... there is no higher honor for a comedian to be told that he can go Toe to toe with Robin Williams! I like Craig
Robin always seemed at his best during interviews, whether he took over the interview completely or was matched by the wit of hosts like CF he seemed to love this platform the most because he could just have fun. RIP Mr Williams
This as a priceless interview. I remember the day Robin died. The family and I were on vacation at Ocean City, MD. I was driving to dinner with them when my son reads off Google that Robin Williams had died. It affected us so, that we had to pullover to the curb. He was another entertainer that you never expected to die one day. RIP Robin
you pulled over to a curb lmao? you didnt know the man. im sorry, but thats just bordering on ridiculous. i get being sad over his death, i get maybe even, if youre a super fan, being miserable for a few days or even a week. but to pull over to a curb while driving.......
Two National Treasures! Robin, the best comedic wild card and impromptu genius with Craig the smoothest smartest TV host riffing on the spot always in step with the Master Williams! Wow! What a cornucopia of comedic chemistry and synergy! The audience gave Robin a standing ovation before and after this show.
I'll never forget robin, it's stuff like this with Craig that makes me smile about his loss, because he's still with us....he can't leave us not while we take the time to watch him!! Xxx
It’s easy to see that they do have a bromance going on here. I watch videos of Robin Williams every night. This is the 1st time I’ve seen this. What a awesome treat.
Craig is the only talk show host who could possible keep with the master of comedy and improve. The others ask 1/2 a question and then its the Robin Williams show. We need them both back.
Robin had a habit of that. I watched Chelsea Handler walk onto a set as the second guest, you could see it in her eyes she didn't know she was following Robin on stage and was not happy. I think i'd just go home if i found out i was following Robin's act.
And a year later we lost Robin Williams through suicide as he suffered from Lewys Body Dementia that drove him to his suicide in the end of his life. Gone but not forgotten. He will forever live on in our hearts.
@@jeandupont8501 jesus. im sick of seeing people like you on the internet lmao. you cant see jack sht about his "armms and hands" lmao. wtf are you waffling on about. another youtube psychologist hahah

There's a big popular video up about 12 million views with Craig and Robin, later than this, called the best interview ever. No my friends, this is the one. So much better. Any true fan of comedy will cry laughing seeing this. I have for years. Thank you for uploading this. I'll never stop trying to find it.
I love every interaction of Robin And Craig. They were almost alike, with more uncontrolled force on RW side. Anyone who loves Robin's comedy style should watch English talkshow hosted by Michael Parkinson with only RW in it (2002). Mr. Parkinson couldn't ask first question until the half of the show. It's truly amazing how Williams' mind worked. Miss him very much.
i imagine him and gorgre carlin just riffing off each other like this in heaven waiting for Craig to come join the party RIP to a true Legend of the Stage
Today I went to the doctor. Inside the doctor's office they were playing "Aladdin". Inside the doctors office. That's how much he still means to the world. To be fair, I asked them to turn the TV off because it's a fucking doctor's office and not a movie theatre. Then I thought about how this is an example of societal decline- still, Robin Williams is a treasure. So is the sexy Scot, Craig Ferguson. What a pair they are.
8:51 "So, children Happy Birthday to you so look at your country almost about to default how can you celebrate your birthday right now, happy birthday: one year closer to death good luck for you" That was genius 😂🤣
After watching the Robin Williams documentary, Robins Wish, it was show that he would try to hide his left hand, or keep attention away from it due to the tremors. It was noticeable on the crazy ones if you look for it, and around this time he was filming it I think… the man didn’t need to go out the way he did… one of a kind
I notice he was losing weight here. He used to be a fine built of a man but I guess he was starting with the symptoms of Parkinson's and Lewys Body Dementia. There will never be another guy like him again. He was such a hilarious actor who always had a big smile on his face and would come up with a joke ever 2 seconds and your like jezz does this guys brain slow down 😂😂😂😭😭😢😢😖😖
Maybe that's why he decided to go out on his own terms. It was sad, but we don't have an image of a very-old Robin Williams struggling because he decided to go out on top.
