- Welcome back! Today I'll be going over the Top 5 bows found within Breath of the Wild. This top 5 is only taking into account base stats as well as the buffs the bows receive themselves. Though armor and food buffs are mentioned in the video they in no way affected this list. So what bows do you use the most in Breath of the Wild? Let me know down in the comments below.

Slight mistake on the Savage Lynel bow. While it is commonly dropped from white, silver, and gold variant. Blue Lynel can also drop this item if certain criteria is met. I apologize for the inaccurate wording in the video. I was able to edit that part out. It should be back up in a few hours with the mistake corrected. Thanks! Oh, and the bow of light used to be available in game via a glitch which would allow you to clip outside of the dark beast Ganon fight. Then you could manipulate the game to load back into the main botw over world. This has since been patched. As for how I have made it a available for this video? It’s as simple as using a save editor to spawn in the bow.
you technically make savage lynel bow as strong even more than the ancient bow by overloading the menu by making as durable as the twilight bow if you have the amiibo or know how to spoof them or the ancient bow ;)

I got a 5x Savage Lynel bow from the Blue Lynel near lanayru!
The most common lynel rank that I found is around white lynel and silver lynel

TrombonePug How many divine beasts have you defeated? Because if you have done one a hinox has traveler if you’ve done 2 it will have Knight 3 = mixture of royal and knight and all of them is always royal weapons. I think

Who needs boring and useless zooming when you can: Shoot without arrow dropping?
Phrenic bow with attack up buffs. Enables you to zoom in on long range target with presission, it's Sheikah made and is quit durable.
im suprised you did not mention the great eagle bow, super renewable, 3 arrows at 28 damage, very good range and durability aswell as quick fire - loads the bow quicker than most other bows
Not to mention it looks sick on your back.
I use the Wild set with Hylian Shield, Master Sword and Great Eagle Bow for aesthetics but savage lynel stuff for fights

Though I wish it was a bit more common, the Forest Dweller's Bow is a solid bow to have; being a x3 shot bow is great and besides the Duplex Bow, it's the only other bow with multi-shot that isn't part of the lynel line of bows. The durability is pretty good also. While there are better bows like the Great Eagle Bow, Savage Lynel and the Ancient Bow, they are either metal, or take longer to load the next arrow (looking at you, Ancient Bow). Sure they are more powerful and have better range than the Forest Dweller's Bow, but it's not a bad idea to have the latter in your inventory. Plus I just like it's design, buuut I may be a bit biased.
Though the Silver set may be among my favorites design wise.

Fara Aqeelah The great eagle bow actually has more durability than the savage lynel bow along with a faster base draw speed, though it can’t get modifiers.

Yeah, those, are so ridiculously easy to obtain, with pretty good base stats, durability could be better... But overal good bow when bows are your primary weapon. Honestly I don't even pick them up anymore if they dong have some kind of buff because of how common they are.

I'm really surprised the great eagle bow wasn't on this list, it's got amazing range, good damage and its draw time is faster than any bow in the game
Not to mention it's easy to replace since the bow needed to make a new one is in the same room.

@@colaperture The Great Eagle Bow I believe has a draw speed of 1.8. The Royal Guard Bow has a draw speed of 1.5. However, you can get a Quick Draw modifier on the Royal Guard Bow and not the Great Eagle Bow, which gives it up to a 1.3x draw speed boost up to 1.95.

Making a top 5 bows and not including the Great Eagle Bow, which is by far the best bow in the game... Complete mystery. The second highest DPS (28x3) of the game after the Savage Lynel Bow (32x3 and 32x5), the second highest durability (60, equivalent to the Royal Bow) after the Ancient Bow (120), the highest range (40, and not including the amiibos), the capacity Quick Shot that allows to shoot faster than average bows, and a very fine design that easily ranks it among the most beautiful bows of the game. There is the Great Eagle Bow and the other bows, although the Ancient Bow would probably come 2nd.

This bow is extremely underrated. I use it to save my ancient bow because getting giant ancient cores takes forever. imo Ancient bow > Great eagle > savage lynel

Before even leaving the Great Plateau you can get a guaranteed 5-Shot Burst Savage Lynel Bow.
It is one of the most powerful bows you can get early on. In normal mode, which isn't added dlc you actually have to upgrade the lynels by killing enimies before you can get the savage lynel bow. Either that or kill the 4 divine beast and head to the collisuem ruins. Average players aren't going to start off in MM let alone take down that gold lynel with cruddy equipment. Yes, it can be done and you're right it's stronger then the one listed but that only for one version and experienced players... Plus I included the Savage Lynel bow later in the list xD

Lonewolf3515 highest dmg for a Savage Lynel Crusher was either 109 or 112 (Though the former I know for sure and might be mixing the 112 max dmg from another weapon like one one of the Royal Guard Swords or something)

By the way, I also really liked the duplex bow. It's not super powerful, but it's great for shooting moving targets, as the second arrow tends to hit whenever the first one misses. That also makes them great for Korok seed puzzles that involve hitting fast moving acorns and balloons. Plus, they are easily obtainable by killing yigas!
I feel like the golden bow was the most useful in terms of practicality; long-range hits to snipe red bokoblins on watchtowers, and hunting animals. I treasured those bows more than the savage lynel bows

I’ve made the mistake of accidentally using it for close range combat though. The first time I used it I thought my game broke XD
imagine nintendo hadnt fucked up the +100 damage from the light arrows. this wouldve been ridiculous. my favourite bow by far just got the max damage one today
I always have a couple golden/Phenric bows with me. Don’t use them as often but they always come in handy when needed. Flying korok acorn puzzles, dragon part farming

Skyrim's weapons/class system is so much superior. The breaking trait is great early game to support the survival theme but hey hello Aonuma, in the end, it's a Zelda game hello? We sorta want our stuff to keep now after passing some tests at least?

To be honest my only use for shields are for killing guardians so I'm perfectly fine with a pot-lid.

My favorite bow has got to be the Great Eagle bow. It has a super fast rate of fire, and pretty good damage to boot.
BTW for the Savage Lynel bow, use all of those buffs, AND headshot all five arrows.
Savage lynel bow's low durability is counterbalanced by being super renewable. Killing lynels is quite easy in with a lot of hearts (which you need to even find this bow in the first place) and a couple of hearty meals. I use these almost exclusively outside the ancient bow accurate shots. I also like the golden bow simply as a scope with a clean hud.

These videos are amazing please do more top fives or tens for Breath of the Wild, like shields and best armour sets. Also can you please consider doing top tens of previous Zelda game weapons, etc
I love the ancient bow, but at a cost of one giant core it's very pricey. You talked about strength and that's important sometimes, but at other times distance can be as important. I find I need that more often. Test bows for distance. I found the duplex bow to have good distance as well as a double shot, so it's a good bow. It's easy to get in the game. My favorite is the golden bow because it has decent durability and good distance. It's easy to replace in Gerudo town in the guards area where they practice. I tested as many bows as I could for distance by shooting bomb arrows up into the sky and watching where they fall. The light bow of course has insanely long distance, but the duplex and gold bow beat out the rest of the bows in distance and are easy to replace.
And here I am, carrying an inventory full of 5 Shot Savage Lynel Bows. With one Ancient bow for backup and awesome snipe shots.

I’m still trying to get the Twilight Bow, but the Ancient Bow is my favorite because of it’s firing range and durability. I usually have a few in my inventory at a time. Other than that, you pretty much showed all of the bows that I use the most in the game. :D These are all really good bows. :)
Honestly I’m surprised that you didn’t include the phrenic bow. It has a super far range shot and is really useful when you need dragon parts.

@@rowletthejowlet6241 no, the ancient bow is very long range (50) while the Phrenic Bow is long range (40).
The Golden Bow is better than the Phrenic Bow, it's the same zoom in and range value, but in terms of durability the Golden Bow is way better with durability up + modifier (90). And also the Phrenic Bow doesn't respawn on blood moon, you can only find it in chests.

How? They just destroy me and I lucked out with one lynel after bomb arrowing him from way high on a cliff to lower his hp down to about a third. How can I be able to defeat lynels who are stronger than ganon?

@@hbarudi Save and be willing to die at first. A good shot with the bow to the head will cause him to pause in his tracks and bow his head for a bit, don't do long range practice in close range and learn to read their attacks because they usually have 1 or 2 that are massive and can take you out. Another good tactic is using the dodge followed by a flurry attack, that requires practice too but it becomes easier with time. I just kept fighting until I learned which tactics worked best with which lynel. When using close combat tactics always go with a good one handed weapon and shield. A shield in this fight helps a lot. You have to learn to let him attack and counter that attack. I don't use the same tactics, they literally learn and adapt. Another piece of advice is never kill one at a blood moon then turn your back and walk away feeling like God. You won't even feel it. Get Miphas grace, Farooqs protection is good, and the gerudo one can be useful but I rarely like to use attacks that require a charge time unless I've hit him with the bow and staggered the Lynel. It gives you several seconds to close the gap with him or do some kind of heavy attack. Never overstay in your attacks, that last hit will only get you hurt, back off and come back. I rarely lose now, at first they owned me. I learned early with only 7 hearts, so dodging became useful. When I do lose usually I broke my rule about staying in too long during flurry attacks, or after I staggered them.
When I bought the house in Hateno village I mounted all my best/favorite weapons, bows, and shields. I only best one silver Lynel at the time and after that ordeal, I didn't want to do that again lol same for the Twilight bow, the ancient chainsaw, and other weapons to save for the Ganon fight (which was a wee easier than expected)
I just love keeping Twilight Bows for their awesome looks! It's so shiny and has shiny light arrows.

@@ishq3374 yea but there are lots of spots were good weapons respawn and you can abuse this you can search it up if you want
@@ishq3374 well, there really is no progression. You just finish the tutorial, and then you can do pretty much whatever you want. If you know how, you can leave the plateau without even having the paraglider.
The duplex now feels ridiculously underrated. It’s extremely useful against the blight ganons and possibly even calamity ganon, and even more so with ancient arrows, even if it might have a relatively low attack stat, it’s very useful if you have decent aim for weak points

How do you get giant ancient cores I have massacred so many guardians but I haven't found one
skullcrack 100 Some shrines have them, and if you hit a guardian with an ancient arrow I think it has a higher chance of dropping one

Mighty Lynel bow is my favorite as I love all the mighty Lynel weapons and I usually have them as my main. Having the set reminds me a lot of Monster hunter weapons in terms of size.

I always have 15 savage Lynel bow (x5 or dmg/dur up) in my inventory :D

I totally agree with the Ancient Bow being the best. All the stuff you mentioned, plus it fires arrows in a straight line, which helps a lot when aiming at something far away (such as dragons, which are much harder to hit with regular bows)
In my 3rd playing of BotW I find myself on my 9th Great Eagle bow from Rito country. The Royal bows are great, but I just like the Great Eagle's multi-shot feature. I use it for shooting multiple wolves with one shot frequently.

And also, how did your bow of light lose durability? if the item you have has max durability it will have a sparkle in the top right of it, which your bow of light didn’t have.. Thanks!
I only have one savage lynel bow, I have plenty of mighty lynel bows. It helps out so much to be able to fire multiple arrows at once without having to use ravioli's bow

JUJAMED_DAY 987 I believe there's a glitch that lets you out of the boundary of the final boss fight, if you then trigger a mini game in Lurelin village you can escape the boss fight and everything goes back to normal, only that you now have the bow of light with you.
@@SomekePlayz yeah ive seen someone do the glitch before but in that video there was still dark beast ganon healthbar and the frames were dropping

I actually found a visual bug in BOTW regarding the ancient bow where if you go into slow motion and pause with the bow equipped, its unique animation appears in slow motion as well.

Yup it was the Ancient Bow.
I don't see how it's overated. The stats speak for themselves. Because of its higher durability it just puts out more damage in the long run. The Savage Lynel Bow almost came in at number one but after doing extensive testing between the two the ancient bow won.
The ancient arrow is the strongest weapon in the game considering it’s a reference to the silver arrow from a link to the past. Not to mention it’s a one hit on any enemie (Yes even gold)

With the Ravoli amiibo you don’t even need to farm for it. & it’s pinpoint on long range is outstanding when shot long distance!

I think that the knight bow should be on the list. Before the 4 divine beasts, you can get a nutty amount out of camps and shrines, it does a decent amount of damage too, at 26 damage
You can find lots of Steel Lizal Bows near the Southern Mine next to Goron City.
There should be many of those Lizalfos forts. Lots of them will be carrying the Lizal Bow.

I use the great eagle bow the most, quite surprised you didn't put it on the list. Its renewable and doesn't cost 1000 rupees to make it, just a diamond, flint, and a swallow bow, a bow you can find in the flight range. It does decent damage and shoots in bursts of three, its wooden, so you dont have to worry about lightning. It also has 60 durability, which isnt the best, but still decent. It also shoots faster, which is kinda nice.

I called my self the guardian slayer, because I kept ripping off the stalker’s legs either with a guardian or ancient melee weapon and/or an ancient bow.
I got too many guardian parts then! XD
Tip: ripping off a guardian stalker’s legs doesn’t need to require an ancient arrow if you’re using an ancient bow. I did this with the said bow and regular arrows and the legs got ripped off one by one from the impact of the normal arrow.
Phrenic bow is also a decent bow for its long range shots which can be handy for farming dragons. It has a very good range. Plus it's Sheikah made.
I think the steel Lizal bow is my favorite bow because during mid/first time in the castle my inventory was just full of steel lizal things an edge of duality,
2 royal sword, ancient short sword, etc
I use the savage lynal bow since recently I've been getting really lucky and either getting one that shoots 5 arrows at the same time or ones that have good durability
I use the golden bow mostly because of the zooming feature and they are everywhere, then the royal bow because it is also easy to obtain multiples of.
I love using the Bow of a Light the most
I found a Royal Bow in one of the shrines at the Great Plateau while going back through and opening all the chests in each shrine. I slapped myself silly because I could've had one stupidly early in the game. RIP
As a side note, I'm genuinely surprised the Great Eagle Bow wasn't on this list. It innately has Quick Shot and shoots three arrows. While it is slightly weaker than the Savage Lynel Bow (28 damage per arrow), it more than makes up for it with the innate Quick Shot, superior range of 40 and durability of 60, usability in thunderstorms, and can be repaired in Rito Village when it breaks. It's true that it can't be used in volcanic regions, but that's where the Savage Lynel Bow would be a fantastic alternative. Both are great bows, but I feel like the Great Eagle Bow was definitely deserving to be on this list.
I use royal bow alot. I use the twilight bow for farming dragon parts since it shoots a straight line
I have been carrying the savage lynel bow and farming lynels since before I took down Vah Medoh.
I often use the falcon, great Eagle or gerudo bow because of their good range
I like using the twilight bow for range & unlimited arrows, plus I think Royal guards bow should be on your list
