Also there was a woman named Slocum who was kidnapped from PA, I think, and adopted by the Miami in Indiana. This reenactor has a great costume. If I saw him back then in real life, I would have pooped my pants.

These events are so much fun to go to and they put their heart into it. The guy in the video says he doesn't get paid to do this. They do because they love it. I'll have to look that up about Slocum. I love history!

Would like to learn more about the Wyndat people as it has been said that my family through my father's side of the family is part Wyndat and Cherokee and my parents are from Lancaster Ohio

Mike Schafer the guy I interviewed here is from Ohio. His story was fascinating. If you ever go to Niagara Falls definitely visit Fort Niagara. It's only a few miles from there.

I'm fascinated by the club. It looks similar to the club that Metacomet (King Philip) owned in King Philip's War that was meant to clop people's heads with. Basically a skull pulverizer.

It is an Indian war club (reproduction) The ball is made from the root ball, where the wood is densest, and the handle of wood above ground, which is more flexible to withstand wind, and thereby breakage.

While his story is interesting, some Wyandot tribal historians would not agree with his narration about Tarhe's wife Caty. He seems to have confused her with captive Sally Sharpe several times during the story.

He was the best dressed reenactor so I asked if I could interview him. He was so kind. Really nice guy. This is my favorite interview with him ua-cam.com/video/anAob7f3aOk/v-deo.html Thanks for watching!
