Bison at mud volcano
Mud Volcano in Yellowstone is a great area to see bison. I'm not sure what draws these beautiful animals to this area, but it is pretty neat to watch them as the steam immerses around them.

This was during our trip to Cairo Egypt. I have never seen a camel in the back of a pickup truck before. There was a sandstorm that day so school was called off.
Camels coming down from Mount Sinai

The camel does not take you all the way up Mount Sinai. Once you are almost to the top a stone marker at the base lets you know there are 750 steps to go, this is where you get off the camel and walk. Most of the “steps” consisted of rocks of various sizes and shapes, with top surfaces that were often uneven. Sometimes it was difficult to determine which rock was the next “step.” There were no ...

The British siege of Fort Niagara in July 1759
Переглядів 1,2 тис.2 роки тому
The British siege of Fort Niagara in July 1759 was part of a campaign to remove French control of the Great Lakes and Ohio Valley regions, making possible a western invasion of the French province of Canada in conjunction with General James Wolfe's invasion to the east. If you are going out to see Niagara Falls, make plans to see Fort Niagara. It is definitely worth the visit. There is a lot of...

We went to Jacks today, and yeah, the best experience on Mackinac Island.
Good actor

Hey I thought they liked to be called Natives.
Hi Tammy, it's Rick from work. You have a new subscriber :)
I was in deadwood and I didn't see this one
Feel so bad for the horse 🥹
Why?
He looks amazing. I love seeing this. Nothing like someone who knows their stuff going to these lengths. Great education
My dad is one of the owners of Jacks! Im glad to see people happy with their services!
This was the highlight of our trip! My husband wants to go back and Dan was a great horse with a funny personality.
I'm happy you had fun!

Did the white man hate the Indians even after all they did for them like the negro slaves who built America ?
We're The Yukon cannibals too?
no and the Wyandot weren't cannibals either
@@TheWolfPackFam OK, I have been watching a few documentaries and learnt that some tribes were.. Here is one.. Its just interesting that's why I asked I've never heard about that before.. But as some people have said the European slaughter and cruel torture and and death regimes were just as bad.. Anyway I've watched loads of videos different tribes against each other and colonies and settlers and The US Army and The Texas Rangers and The Mexican bandits. But I am interested in ALL things Native Indian related.. Including culture, food, survival, hunting techniques, signalling, tracking, trapping, making untensils and how they make clothing pretty much everything just so you know I am not just being an ass.. ua-cam.com/video/iN9t-9P6D7g/v-deo.html
@@thelastpinster Wow! very interesting. I plan on doing more of these kinds of videos. Mike Schafer was so kind to allow me to do a documentary of him. He was 69 years old when I did this video so he must be about 74 now. We are going to the battle of Bighorn in June, this is where Custer died. That looks like an awesome reenactment. I have other videos on Fort Niagara in a playlist. Have you ever been to one of these events?
@@TheWolfPackFam No I live in Australia mate but thanks man, keep on doing what you are doing man 👏💪 👍cheers

It was the pieace de resistance to upend the very agency to bring down very sophisticated home grown terrorists, and to use a method of both threats to deliver people up, take out the FBI, open federal penitentiary, and prisons to unleash people (some who had coping mechanisims) in our country. Modern man with a ring in his nose....just sayin'
Actually nose piercing dates back to about 5,000 years ago, not sure if the Indians did it though. Thanks for watching!
First glimpse passing by I saw him & just figured he was another modern recording "artist" 🙄

Tom on mountain men made cool stuff out of a porcupine.
I'm guessing that since the various nations had different languages using hand signals and sign language helped each other communicate and overcome the language barriers. It also might have helped teach each other's language as well. You make a sign and say something at the same time whoever you're communicating with will learn what you're saying.
The is probably where sign language first evolved. I learned so much from this guy and you could see how passionate he is about this. Thank you for watching and subscribing to my channel!

Thank you so much! We are planning to go to Montana next summer for the reenactment of the battle at Big Little horn Custer's last stand.. So much history at Fort Niagara.
Great volleys by several regiments!!!

how did they have cameras back then
It’s very nice of the commoners to mow the grass before the battle. Super neat!
The french NCO’s are just like “lets stand infront of fire im sure they wouldn’t aim for us at all”
Thik those are COs. There were subliminal rule to not to shoot COs during battle, but i highly doubt they would really honor it.
lol
The size of that French officer tho 😳
@FG20 August Dahlström The war back then was so different. They were probably only 100 yards away from each other because they didn't have missiles like they do now. The drummers were like reporters back then. They weren't allowed to shoot at them. Thank you for watching!
Nepotism
@@TheWolfPackFam well I think they were always targeted. They’re morale raisers not reporters. Def legit targets
@@GojoGunning I agree. What I meant was that they didn't shoot at the drummers intentionally, but I am sure sometimes they got shot at. I have another video I plan on putting out here where they explain the importance of the drummers. Thanks for watching 🙂
I'm fascinated by the club. It looks similar to the club that Metacomet (King Philip) owned in King Philip's War that was meant to clop people's heads with. Basically a skull pulverizer.
It is an Indian war club (reproduction) The ball is made from the root ball, where the wood is densest, and the handle of wood above ground, which is more flexible to withstand wind, and thereby breakage.
Wow, awesome research and recreation. Very cool 😎
Thank you
Friendship ended with the French. The Wyandot are my new best friends.
Took my son to Ft. Niagara this past March... It was 10 degrees with lake winds blowing hard... The staff still loaded and fired a musket outside for the few fools that went there that day...
They do such an awesome job there and the reenactors are the best! That's pretty cold for March.
Cool!
Thank you for watching
Dear Sir, I have watched all four parts of your presentation and your impression is just outstanding. I am a retired reenactor, mainly F & I and participated in events from the 1970s to about 2000. I don't know if you are aware that a native american individual complained about the reenactment held in bushy run this year - due to "white people" dressing up like native americans, etc. I don't know what the State of PA plans to do in the future, cancel the event? Based on my research the State of PA does not have any Federally recognized tribes. However, the Leni Lenape have been trying to gain recognition. So I am not sure what the reenactment should do. As an individual with Wyandot ancestry, you may be able to address the concerns of the person or people that complained. By the way, I never attempted to portray a native american in my reenacting. One of the groups I belonged to in the past portrayed the Canadiens that lived with the natives - the Gens des Bois.
I attended this event about 5 years ago with my family and asked Mike if I could record him for a documentary and he was gracious enough to tell me his story. I haven't been to one since or seen him, I would like to go again because it was such an awesome experience. Thank you for watching!
You just met a REAL American. BTW, Mike looks magnificent.
He was so gracious to let me document his story. You can tell he loves what he does! Thank you for watching :-)
You're a freeky looking dude.
nice video and well shot
Thank you so much!
I just bought some fudge yesterday! Haven’t had it in a long time. Such a delicious treat 😋👍
That's awesome! I'm thinking of ordering some online for Christmas. This was our first time on Mackinac Island. We LOVED it!! Will go back next year.
Also there was a woman named Slocum who was kidnapped from PA, I think, and adopted by the Miami in Indiana. This reenactor has a great costume. If I saw him back then in real life, I would have pooped my pants.
These events are so much fun to go to and they put their heart into it. The guy in the video says he doesn't get paid to do this. They do because they love it. I'll have to look that up about Slocum. I love history!
Nice outing
