This new apprentice line is a super smart way to "reboot" the way we hand things off to the next generation. I love what they're doing. I will say, however, that they kind of missed an opportunity with this one. They could have made the ball an actual (fake) jewel. I think that would have made huge difference. ;0]
I thought it would be a ball & vase prop with a red jewel as well!
@@randystewart8895 - It might have brought the price up a little (maybe a buck or two) but would have been totally worth it.
@@StoneColdMagic I agree 100%
Maybe a "plastic ruby" would be better?
@@westonding8953 - Yep. That's exactly what I'm saying. :-]
Get two of them and your routine can go through the roof.
Ball vanishes, transpositions, etc.
I've seen some amazing routines done with multiple ball and vases.
Great idea !!!
I actually don't know that trick and now want to learn it! :D
It’s a classic for a reason
I’d advise you to get two if you can
@@seanfaherty yeah I’ve been looking at what Murphy released and there a a couple I never saw before, seems I missed quite a lot of classics in my youth! Well. Now everything is under control and they’ll no longuet be a mystery ;)
I have the vault and I love it.
oh nice
Great patter to this product! I do have this trick. I wish I could buy more plastic balls for it.
I do too
David is my Morning Show 🤣
Thanks for the great job 👊
Morning!
Love the Apprentice line and the reinvigorating of these beloved classics. I have grandson's ages 11, 8 and 7 who have taken an interest in magic (papa keeps them mesmerized). After your review on the first wave of Apprentice line magic I purchased, for my grandson's, The Mummy, The Ghost and The Time Machine. I'll have as much fun as they as they try and fool me LOL! Thank you David for the reviews!!!
thanks JAMES
I kinda don't like this one so much because you can get much nicer looking ball and vase props for not a whole lot more money if you shop around. They probably don't come with good video instructions, but I don't know that this trick needs them as much. The size increase over the standard magic kit version is nice though.
thanks for stopping by
I agree with the other comments regarding the shape of the red “jewel” .. also would have liked story lines about other “good/positive” things vs thieves, forgers, ghosts and 5th dimension …
thanks for the review David 👍👍
well ... to be fair ... the subject matter is MAGIC - most closely associated with gypsies, fortune tellers, con-artists, and liars - LOL
How does it work though?
when you buy it, you'll get the instructions
Missed opportunity. The ball & gimmick should have both been a faceted plastic jewel, rather than a regular ball. This is just a standard kids ball vase with some jewel thief patter added. Such a shame.
it's still a better prop that 90% of most magic kits
It’s the story it’s the presentation it’s the patter(as long as it fits in a sixty second reel). Bigger is better. Color change is great Repackaging done right without huge price hikes! Street approved.
