Tetra is one of my favorite, but let's just say it has more weapons/tools and has a lot of customization. Tetra: + Near infinite tool builds, from pickaxes to multi-tools to javlins to bows. + Lots of material choices and there are mods that add support to new materials. + Cool and unique structures. + Useful guide tool that let's you see stats on materials and helps you find hidden structures mentioned above. + Tools don't break when used up. - no real integration for most modded ors. ((Needs other mods to add ores or mods that add support for ores.)) - material upgrades are linear, so going from iron to steel is a good idea, but there's no reason to go back to iron other than reducing the tools repair cost. - materials don't have special perks, just state upgrades. + - tools are repaired by other tools like axes for handles and knives for string bindings. Also each part of the tool requires it's material to repair, so if each part of the tool has a different material, best have all of those materials to fully repair it. + - tools level up with use, allowing you to spend these points on durability, speed or how strong they are, but this can take away the ability to enchant tools in the future, and it resets when you replace parts on a tool, useful early game, not good for late game. Tinkerer's Construct: + Lots of tool configurations, hammers and shovels that mine in a 3x3 zone. + Materials all have unique perks, iron pulls stuff to it for example. Where steel is sharp and deals extra damage. + Useful multi-block smelters that can melt ore from other mods. + Tools do level up with you, sort of. + Tools can be fixed with one material in the form of sharpening kits, as long as the the sharpening kit is the same material as the head of the tools. + Tools don't break when used up. - not as much diversity in tools, what you see on the anvil is what you get. - multi-block smelter is costly to make, worth it but costly. Don't think you can build a massive one early game, just build a small one and use that untill you can upgrade its size. - needs other mods for transferring liquid metal from container to container, if you want to make metal storage. So, over all. Tetra has a large amount of customization and tools you can make, two headed axes... Hammers, spears, pickaxe-shovel-axe hybrid, you can have it all. But materials often just are straight upgrades from eachother with little variety, so if you have iron tools, steels just better cause of duribility. The structures are grand tho, and finding them is always a treat, also bring a crowbar, your gonna be prying locks off of ancient chest to get at the goods inside. Tinkerer's Construct has a lot of useful materials, hell even stone has a use if you want repairs to be cheeper. But it has less verity, no multi-tools, just hammers and shovels that basically are just 3x3 versions of their pickaxe/shovel counter parts. And the rest of the tools are pretty much vanilla. But the fact it has a multi-block smelter is VARY nice, it lets you access a lot of stuff once you have one up, a whole world of custom made tools is there for you. I love both mods but hate they aren't really build with eachother in mind, if some sort of marriage of the two mods was made, with Tetras cool rewarding structures and large amount of custom tools with Tinkerer's Construct material perks and multi-block smelter... That would be heavenly. Cause Tetra struggles with the sense that there's no reason to go back to older materials other than maybe there more common or renewable, and Tinkerer's material perks can fix this, but Tinkerer's has a rather limited number of tool/weapon choices, yes, there still is a lot, but there's no multi tools, and most of the other tools are basically vanilla reskins with a 3x3 or AOE buff, like the kama, basically sheers and the scythe is just AOE sheers for plants. Again, both mods are good but it sucks that each covers the others weakness, yet they arnt really compatible, if they did become compatible though, you can bet your stars I'm getting that mod.
Ah man. I remember playing a super early version of this mod in the techit mod pack when I was… maybe 7, or 8? This was an absolute blast from the past. Love it
i hope they add back the armor aspect back to tinker's as well, that was my favorite part of it mainly because of how the changes were visible on the armor just like the weapons
oh my god its so good to see this mod getting updated. Easily my favorite mod of all time, I love the changes they are making to the process of getting your smeltery
Tinkers is literaly THE modded minecraft icon along with JEI, Im so glad I'll be able to enjoy it in my 1.16 modpack, now the only thing missing is the addons
You can craft the 'missing tools' from 1.12 using a Tinkers Anvil, the simplest way it can be crafted is with 4 cracked seared stone bricks as base and 3 tinkers bronze block as top
"as big or as little as you want" unless they drastically updated it with 1.16, there is a hard limit on the tinker smeltery which is either a 7x7x7 or a 9x9x9 smeltery

@3:46 I love that reference to Guardians of the Galaxy and Groot :D
Ah man. I remember playing a super early version of this mod in the techit mod pack when I was… maybe 7, or 8? This was an absolute blast from the past. Love it
Thank you so much for this video. I am planning on making a big mod server for my friends and this and some other mods were on my mind
so proud to see you grow so quick! last time I checked you were at 3k... great work mate
i hope they add back the armor aspect back to tinker's as well, that was my favorite part of it mainly because of how the changes were visible on the armor just like the weapons
Hey Boodlyneck,
I got a joke or meme, wutever it is
Groot in movie:I am Groot
Grout in minecraft: i am Grouuut
Been here since 2k, its unreal how much you have grown
I'm so excited. Watching this remembering all the good times I had playing modpacks with my friends.
Congrats for 100K subs! You absolutely deserve this because you're amazing!!
oh my god its so good to see this mod getting updated. Easily my favorite mod of all time, I love the changes they are making to the process of getting your smeltery
Tinkers is literaly THE modded minecraft icon along with JEI, Im so glad I'll be able to enjoy it in my 1.16 modpack, now the only thing missing is the addons
thank you so much for the help I always wanted this mod but I couldn't understand it and this helped me a lot
You can craft the 'missing tools' from 1.12 using a Tinkers Anvil, the simplest way it can be crafted is with 4 cracked seared stone bricks as base and 3 tinkers bronze block as top
I'm so very glad that Tinkers is moving into the modern versions! My favorite FTB modpacks aren't the same without it.
Btw the cast chest can now hold multiple of the same cast
Congrats on 100k 🎉
Imagine, create mod, and tinkers construct, together, HELL YA
"as big or as little as you want"
unless they drastically updated it with 1.16, there is a hard limit on the tinker smeltery which is either a 7x7x7 or a 9x9x9 smeltery
This one bit of news alone is getting me to set up a modded server for my friends.
