Summary:
📚 **_Hellbent_**, the third book in **Gregg Andrew Hurwitz's Orphan X series**, is a personal and relentless mission for **Evan Smoak**-aka Orphan X or the **Nowhere Man**. This time, Evan’s journey goes beyond his typical missions to help those in desperate need; it becomes a quest for vengeance and redemption. When **Jack Johns**, Evan’s former handler and the closest thing he has to family, is targeted and killed, Evan receives a final message from Jack asking him to protect a young girl named **Joey Morales**, a fellow “orphan” trained by the same dark government program.
As Evan seeks justice for Jack’s death and protection for Joey, he becomes a target himself, pursued by the dangerous Orphan program, now intent on wiping out all remaining Orphans. Joey, though young and defiant, possesses skills rivaling Evan’s, and together they must evade relentless assassins and uncover the deadly secrets behind the program. Their journey forces Evan to confront his own beliefs about family, loyalty, and his commitment to the role of the Nowhere Man.
*_Hellbent_* is an adrenaline-pumping story of loyalty, grief, and the fight for survival. Hurwitz crafts a suspenseful, deeply emotional narrative that not only delivers thrilling action but also reveals new layers of Evan’s character, challenging him to consider what kind of man he wants to become in a world that sees him only as a weapon.

Thank you! To the author and the person who posted this.
This has been the most intriguing book series I’ve listened too. Coming from a long history watching all sorts of action movies from expendables to fast and furious, this is awesome and weirdly reminds me of some aspects of Burn Notice. Black listed agent, looking for a purpose in their life without ending up dead or in jail
I like the music playing in the background.
