Fully disagree with the negative comments. It's not several stories in one. It's one story and everything's connected by the main character. Im past the 6 hour mark and fully enjoying the book. Great story!
I'm genuinely confused by the bad reviews. I almost didn't listen to it because of the reviews but I'm so glad I did! So many twists and turns and very little bad language.
oh my god. i just finished this and it was AMAZING. it is not several stories in one. it has different happenings with the same characters for one big explosive ending. it made my mouth drop multiple times. amazing book worth the read
Such an amazing book, the bad comments are wrong, there are crazy twists that had my jaw on the floor. I started listening to it in the morning and finished the same day, literally never stopped listening it was that good. Very great book.
Unlike some of the comments made, I loved this book. This is NOT several random stories in one; this is one story, tied together by the main character. Thanks for the upload! :)
A good novel reminding us "oh what terrible webs we weave"! This was a very realistic story portraying our human frailty, our strength and how circumstance, in a blink of an eye can push one to extremes, and the fine line between who we are, who we think we are, and ultimately how far each of us will go to protect ourselves and those we love. It is a rare case where I find myself absolving a person for a crime such as murder. But in this story, I was on the side of Meghan, believing that the evil manipulation and purposeful intent to deceive and ruin her after she had so selflessly tried to help a friend had left her with little choice. Proving once again that crime is not a "one size fits all" and no such thing as black and white.
I enjoyed this audiobook! The first I have heard of Mary Kubica, but I will be listening to more of her! This was a great story, many twists and the main character was very realistic.. I'm not sure about people thinking it was multiple stories, unless they just weren't paying attention at all. It was definitely one story, a enjoyable one! Thanks for sharing ❤
I personally loved this book, especially with all its twists I didn’t see coming. It starts a bit slow but it picked up. Others claiming that this book is multiple books in one is wrong. ENJOY!🎉
This was a good book! It started out slow, but got better as the story unfolded. When the "bomb" dropped, all the pieces fell into place and my mouth dropped. Then, the shocking moments kept coming! I even cried a little at the end (#momlife.) Great read, great story... and definitely leaves you with something to think about. Not only with the characters and their lives, but with our own real world situations and how quickly things can change for a person. Side Note: I'm not sure how everyone is so confused with "all the storyline, because if you pay attention... it really is just one person and HER life. Everyone in the story intertwines with her, her child, and her husband. It's one person.
An ICU nurse uncovers arrest dr😅r errrr polo ypatient’s frightening past in this thriller. Meghan Michaels trying to find balance, a single mom to a teenage daughter and working as a full-time nurse. While on 😢yyyyy😢😢duty at hospital one day, a patient named Caitelin arrives in a coma with Dee a traumatic brain injury, after jumping from a bridge and plunging over twenty feet to the train tracks below. But when a witness comes forward with shocking details about the fall, it calls everything they know into question. Was Caitlin pushed, and if so, by whom? And why? Meghan has always tried to stay emotionally detached from her patients, but this time, she mistakenly lets herself get too close until she’s deeply entangled in Caitlin’s life. Only when it’s too late does she realise that she and her daughter could be the next victims...
Altogether, I enjoyed it. Not the best suspense I have ever heard but certainly entertaining enough to keep me listening. One big surprise toward the end. For me anyway.
@@allisonmaryhardwich8553I loved it explained because I'm almost finished listening to it and cannot work out what the story is. I cannot follow the theme
I wish there was a so so option instead of a thumbs up or down. This was not horrible, yes it's long winded and slightly far fetched, but it keeps your attention. I listened to the very end. My rating, so so. 2.75 stars.😏
Pretty good! A couple of things; Americans don't "pull a face", lol. Also, as a Chicagoan, born and bred, I was touched by her care attention to detail about Chicago streets in Megan's neighborhood, but, it didn't pull together right.
Very disappointed several stories in one. Starts out strong then seems to meander. I was not bored but I'd rather have one cohesive narrative. The other plotlines seemed to be filler.
I completely agree with you! It was such a gripping opener, and then suddenly I'm listening to a lengthy description of "fashionable scrubs" and a rambling monologue about different types of comas, or trains, or menial nurse stuff. Like come on, I'd really like to get back to the kidnapped daughter thing. Kubica seems to disappoint me every time. I'm about to give up on her.
Not to mention all the ramblings on suicide, which it even wasn't. And also, the parents were a constant presence at the hospital, they liked Megan a lot, then their daughter died and Ooops ! Where'd they go ?!
The story was a bit hard to follow. There were several plots going on for a very interesting finish. Some parts of the story were unnecessary and a bit monotone. But it definitely left you wondering what was going to happen since there was so much going on. I enjoyed it. 6.5/10.
@Creativelyblessed128 QUESTION❓ Do you feel you gave too much information in your comment or did you intend too... Maybe you had something to do with writing this story?? Ending was incomplete did she get caught?
Clearly that person is not an avid reader
I'm genuinely confused by the bad reviews. I almost didn't listen to it because of the reviews but I'm so glad I did! So many twists and turns and very little bad language.
I gave this book a second chance by listening to more of the book. It has twists in it. It's a much better book than I thought.

The negative reviews are from ppl who didn't give the story a chance. AMAZING twist. Everything ties together in the end - great story❤📖

Beautifully narrated and great story..thanks
Thank you. Excellent audio. Suspenseful with all the twists and turns.
That was a great listen!!! Lots of twists .
I can see where some listeners lost the plot, but i was impressed.
Thanks for sharing
Lost me in the first scene. The mothers reaction didn’t seem believable at all.
Nat really created too much stress for Meghan, but Meghan is so in need of therapy. She really went off the deep end
Such a good book. It was engaging the whole time and u have to listen to it i dont want to give anything away!

I usually like Mary Kubica's books but this one....
The story actually starts at the 7hrs and 30minutes mark.... Thanks for the upload 🙏🇧🇷
If you don’t like this, you’re a silly goose! It’s so good
Great plot! So glad I gave it a try. Thanks for sharing.
I really enjoyed this, thank you.
Great story with a few twists that really took me off guard.
Well written and read. Enjoyed the intrigue. Thank you 🐬
Awesome awesome story and narration thank you!!!
This was very good!
Loved it ! Was NOT disappointed. ❤️
I've listened to it 3 times
This was an awesome read!!!!!! The narrator was excellent!!!❤
Another excellent listen 🎉
Disagree with negative comments. A very good read.
So good! Thank you!
Great story ❤
Interesting twist and turns all of the characters are intertwine. I think Luke is her father 😂. Overall decent book.
Very good listen. All the stories are intertwined for an explosive ending
Yes!!!! Loved this book!!
I did like the book and the narrator! Going to look for something else from this author.

Great book!!
This was a wonderful find!!
I’m gonna give this book a try some of the comments are scaring me
😂
The very ending is confusing. I thought Megan already took the ring when she was on the bridge. So what ring did Ben give her at the end?
She got her wedding ring but not her engagement rings back from her.

Alright. I stand corrected. Mary Kubica is Illinois born and bred. I just found the phrase, "pulled a face" to be such a British expression.
This was good.
I'm not sorry either! So there!!
Very good
The only thing that makes sense in this story is the street map of Chicago. Poorly done

Thanks all. Not going to even start on this one.
It’s awful. The main character is a nurse? Really?? Cuz she has no sense
Megan isn’t thinking through the issue that patients dad is a lawyer
I agree!!!!
I wonder why the parents didn’t come after her. Remember Dad is a lawyer.
Did anybody else have a hard time hearing the ending
The whole thing! Awful

Female authors: "I say".
Not one of my favs; but its good
Thank you for your comments I will not invest my time in this thank you
The narrator's microphone sounds really weird.
Me, either.

Why would she need fluids and diuretics
😅
3rd spacing. But still a good one😂
And painkillers? They’re not given to the comatose

ok the mom is kinda dumb... i get panicking but seriously?
Sooo much tedious inner dialogue and nit-picky detail. This book would be a novella if this author would learn to use language efficiently.
Cristo Santo ,che donna negativa, non puoi vedere solo il brutto nel mondo, c'è anche del buono 😢
💯👍✅
Yeah, I’m out. Just a really long story hours in about a nurse with a rough life. Can’t find a plot here.
Mmmm 🧚🏻♂️🧚🏻♂️
The main character, Megan, is incredibly annoying....
I lost my interest 😕

Terrible
