    This plane is so stable for a tri-copter configuration. FoxTech sells this same airframe with a tri-copter VTOL setup for a whopping $3K US dollars. May I ask how much this completed project cost you in parts and hours of assembly time? Also, did this plane have a waypoint mode that enabled it to fly autonomous missions beyond the range of the RC controller and video feedback range? That 90-minute flight time makes this the ideal platform for long-range FPV flying of pre-saved waypoint missions.

    I have a problem, I did all the conguration in manual mode all works well but, when I change to Qestabilize the motors stops. Can you help? Thank you.

      It´s possible fly the nimbus vtol without airspeed sensor. My nimbus do not end the transition to FBWA and the motors dont work normal, and i need to go back the hover mode.
      What do you recommend?

    what is the maximum payload?

      The max payload is about 500g. Nimbus1800 is meant for fpv and gopro type of cameras.

      sorry, I really cannot take you through Ardupilot (APM) step by step.
      This DIY has a wiki in Ardupilot, and the official explanation is also very clear.

      basically,
      As long as the assembly was done right, (the video has an assembly diagram), then follow the official instructions step by step to complete.
      If you do not know how to adjust the PID, import Nimbus1800.param
      If you have any difficulties please feel free to ask, but I’m sorry I really can't take you step by step to learn Ardupilot.
      In addition,

      He gives some pretty clear instructions in the video. If you're wondering about VTOL config on flight controller there's a ton of videos on UA-cam on how to do that. Pretty easy. These are never things you should expect to buy and have them be plug and play. I've built plenty of drones from kits and not one has been truly plug and play or ARF. Everything needs tweaking. That's just how DIY drones are.

    I dont like the idea. The plane is ugly. If u wanna fly a plane u fly one, if u wanna hover u get a drone or a copter, that's it.

      Flying Goggles that’s ur opinion. But honestly nobody cares about your opinion and your comment is nothing but disrespectful. What if you want to start a plane out of a garden or balcony, where you don’t have enough space? You want to deliver a package somewhere 30 km away? This man did a great job! Thanks a lot 🙏
