One things I’ve felt for a long time is that Audi is unmatched when it comes to styling. Just so sleek, elegant, sporty and modern!

@@TheGetawayer on the contrary, the full paint option makes the car far more elegant and cohesive, whereas the black bumper trim and black wheel arches look silly-like an unsuccessful attempt to be the Marlboro Man.
I own an Audi A4 Allroad, and actually pay the body shop $1,500 to paint my bumper trim and wheel arches to match the glacier white factory paint - tremendous improvement to the appearance of the car.
@@rogerl7533 i can see it looking better on a white car, bur still: I like an Allroad to look different. Otherwise a regular A6 would do me well too
@@TheGetawayer as it happens, my A4 allroad is Glacier White.
Here, in North America, black / dark grey body cladding is overdone. It is present on almost every conceivable car / truck trying to be macho. That may account for my dislike of it.
I find the full body paint to be more elegant, and better suited to the Audy''s overall aesthetic.
In any event, it's great to see your reviews back on UA-cam. Keep up the excellent work.

Exactly, I feel the same way about the dual clutch transmissions, they are a bit jerky when taking of. Once you are on the move they are fine, not perfect of course..

Great review as always Guido. I bought a audi 2020 sq5 this year (canada) and we love it. we had a vw touareg tdi and this was a good transition. we wish canada would allow the tdi still, but not any more. Happy Holidays.

Try driving only in electron mode. Then you will probably be impressed by the acceleration
I own the previous version of this with the weakest 6 cylinder diesel and I agree with what you say about the dual clutch. Almost impossible to drive smoothly in 1st and 2nd gear. The steering is also a little bit jerky and you and up correcting a lot and that one doesn’t even have all wheel steering (as it didn’t exist in that model). I just feel it’s a little bit sad as the comfort otherwise is superior to almost everything else I’ve driven. Thanks for a great review and I don’t think you’re overly sensitive. 👍

How come the Top Gear website review says that this car has a bad ride quality compared to most rivals? It doesn't make sense. Most other reviewers seem to praise it.

That is a good looking car. I hope it feels as premium as it is expensive. I would probably go for the Subaru Outback, even if they discounted the Audi by 50%.
The Audi is in a completely different class then the Subaru. If you were to drive both of them, you would immediately understand. The Audi is superior in every aspect - engine performance, transmission, overall build quality, ride, handling, steering feel....,
I don't intend this unkindly, but the only people who would choose an Outback over an Audi are those who can't afford the latter.
@@rogerl7533 that may be true and I understand your point. I still look for value in a new car though. People who do not want to (not necessarily cannot) afford that depreciation curve will seek better value for the purpose.
@@Mr.W. by all of the metrics to which I referred, and many more - Build Quality, Engine Performance, Suspension, Handling, Ride, Interior design and execution, Transmission design and performance, (the Outback's CVT transmission is horrid), overall Aesthetics, the Audi is vastly superior to the Subaru.
The Audi represents excellent value, and, when taking into account everything I listed above, the Audi is a far better value then the Subaru Outback, and, in fact a better value than the vast majority of cars.
Again, not wishing to be unkind, you appear to be measuring the value of a car in the same way you would a kitchen appliance. That's fine, if you regard your cars, as many people do, as appliances.
Sadly I have only driven BRZ and WRX Sti ( actually in Virginia on Mount Taybor road?) So I cant comment on the Outback. Subbies are a very rare sight in gernany, bur I know the have their qualities. I still think the A6 is a class above all around, but the Subbie sure is better value for money in comparison, right?
@@TheGetawayer I might have the opinion I do because wagons don't excite me. It's like asking me how luxurious of a work shoe I would want. I want something good enough that is going get the job done but I don't want to lose sleep if it brushes against tree branches. So I admit I have an appliance mindset for this style of car, much like I would think about a pickup truck. So Subie gets the value for money pick for me. I would feel even stronger for Subie if they kept the manual transmission across their lineup. We recently traded our '17 STI for the '20 and it only depreciated $8k for the 4 years we had it even at dealer trade in price. I figured that was worth restarting the rust clock on it. I did get an XPEL wrap for it to hold off the stone chips.

Hello, well why not buy an Audi RS3? :) I love the 8j but the handling of the 7R is more engaging. I would get one of the Audis for that glorious five-cylinder :)
id3 or iDP4 probably has much better acceleration as soon as you touch the accelerator pedal because an electric motor he maximum torque from very low speed

When the subscribers didn't see my new uploads and the views went lower and lower, it became harder and harder to get access to press cars. Not something I was used to from the past, so I had to accept it and move on. At least for now. - Guido
@@TheGetawayer I frankly don’t understand why your view counts went down as your videos are produced better than many other car review tubers out there, but that aside, why not forget about getting press cars and instead just make a friend at a car dealership where you can take out their cars for a review and help them gain more exposure as a return for them? That’s what other tubers do, no? Regardless, just want to say I miss your honest and entertaining reviews. Good luck.
