Ezekiel is shown visions of a future temple. The interesting thing is that this temple hasn't been built yet. In later readings, we'll read about when Solomon's destroyed temple gets rebuilt after the Babylonian captivity, and it doesn't fit the descriptions from Ezekiel's vision.
A cubit is approximately 18 inches. In ancient times, it was the length of a person's forearm.
