Result! Nice repair! Micro-solder and trace repair can be bloody terrifying, had to do it with a Nintendo Switch and I got it to (sort of) work. Well done mate!
OMG... it took everything but there it is working again. My excitement for everything that gets fixed has grown so much from when i started fixing thins by my own and even more now that i know that in 1 to 3 days i will be able to use myself that exact soldering station tha two of my favourite youtubers work with (considering that all the interest which ended in love for repairs started with Vince who has that station for 2 years now and he was a big inspire to me).

I have one dsi xl that doesn't turn on, but connecting the charger the changing light only blinks once and then turns of that light. The fuses are working, the battery is not the issue because I tried with other battery from other dsi that's working. What do you think might be the failure? Hope you can help me. Hey, good afternoon. My nintendo dsi xl has this problem that when I press the power button the screen opens and is stuck white. Also the Wireless Indicator LED isnt turned on. After trying some things, my nintendo is not even turning on at the moment, meaning that the power indicator is turned on but the screen is always black. Any solution would be greatly appreciated! Im pretty sure it has to be the fuse because everything else is working fine, is there anywhere i can find this specific fuse online? Or would you be willing/know anyone who would fix my dsi XL? Id be willing to pay quite a bit as i seriously need my Dsi XL Fixed (pictures and a LOT of artwork are lost if i can't get it working again) sorry for the long comment but please let me know. Hey bud :) You can type into EBay Nintendo DSi XL fuse and it should come up for you to purchase :) Are you from the UK? I don’t usually take on customer devices, especially if it means a lot to someone just in case I break it further 😂 If it means that much it might be worth taking into an official repair shop to take a look.
@@JoeyDoesTech Ok Thanks! And all good i understand that, im from the US. I just don't know what repair shop would even support fixing such a device, its not like Nintendo will anymore. Most tech repair places these days only repair cell phones and not game consoles.
My, well, my friends dsi xl powers in and chagres. Just teh indicator turns on then off immediately. The battery is full. What should i do? I replaced the power board and the f1 fuse below the charging port. The console does show it charging. Any help would be nice.
hi i dunno if you'll see this comment but I'd like to ask if i could possibly still save my 7 year old nintendo dsi or if all hope's completely lost; first of all, it won't charge like at all. second, when i try to turn the power on, the screen just flashes (both screens, despite my top screen being completely dead) for a split second and there's no lights indicating that it's on at all. me and my dad had tried to fix it years ago but i think we just kinda made it worse? but i dunno, if you've read this and all, thank you and i hope there's still hope left for my nintendo.

I blew f1 by putting in the battery backwards while trying to fix my screen. Unfortunately it would be more for me to repair than to replace the daughter board. Guess I’ll crack it open again and see if I also blew f2.

Hey :) does the DSi stay on but the screen is blank? Maybe sounds like the top screen has an issue, but deffo take it in for repair to a local shop :)

Where can I find good battery replacements for the DSi XL Amazon and EBay all seem fake

This sounds like a loose battery Tim. Every time the battery comes out it resets. Make sure it’s right.
