    Great video! When do we use jumper wires ? Won't a circuit "burn" if we bypass components this way? I would really like to learn about this .
    Thank you for your videos!

    Well found, just one thing: The fuse is there to protect the PCB in the event of a surge, it needs an 0603 1A fuse as a replacement. Bridging the fuse removed the protection, next time there's a surge the PCB will get fried instead of the fuse blowing.

    • @LMCMaio
      @LMCMaio 7 років тому +2

      But the fuse is a wire, if you install the right wire you have a fuse.

      As +Luis Maio said, the wire is a fuse, it will blow too if it's amps threshold is exceeded.

      a calibrated wire!

    • @rscelectrical7091
      @rscelectrical7091 7 років тому

      Luís Maio: It may eventually blow, but by the time that happens it will in all probability be too late for the PCB as it will already be dead. Seen more than one of these with the same problem, fuse blown & somebody bridges it with a piece of wire. Next time there's a surge or overload the board dies instead, manufacturers don't fit fuses of a specific size without good reason.

    This looks so easy but I’m way to scared to fix mines on my own

    I can't believe you just replace that blown up fuse with "a proper calibrated fuse" without even checking anything and everything works again like normal usually there's always a shorted component that causes a fuse to blow up
