My god, I can’t even begin to imagine Belushi and Murphy as original Ghostbusters. I’m so thankful for the cast members who actually ended up getting those parts. It would be an entirely different experience otherwise. Murray’s performance alone within that franchise could serve as a comedic/improv masterclass.
@@list25 common Mike why don't you like horror movies it's the best movie genre there is. I'm not scared that easy by horror movies. Some are even boring as hel like the Exorcist, The Blair witch project and the Poltergeist. I felt asleep while I was watching them. Because they where so boring. Even the Teletubbies are scarier then those 3 movies. But I simply love Slasher horror movies. Like Child's Play (I think Chucky is cute), Friday the 13th, A nightmare on Elm Street, Halloween... The original one's of course. Not the lame remakes. And of course my all time favorite horror movie franchise Saw. I simply love the blood and gore in those movies. The only movie that really scared me is The Ring. I couldn't sleep that night.
Yes. I have probably watched everyone of the videos posted, I very happy when I hurd that voice say "I'm Mike with list 25" I let out yesss..I was in side the mall. 😍🤩🥳
It’s so great to see your face again Mike! I know many of us missed you dearly and even though we have never met, seeing you again was like reconnecting with an old friend. Thank you Mike. ❤
Please give Tristan my love as well. Would like to see him do an episode with you. You're banter back and forth was funny and endearing. Hope to see him here one day with you. Hope the powers that be will allow it
Mike: in my opinion, one of your best and most captivating episodes. Thank you for all of the work you do and have done. I missed you during your hiatus. You play a great host of this series, and no doubt can do well at anything you endeavor to do. Godspeed, sir! Have a great day.
I know this is a bit late, but I always enjoyed List 25 and your presentations. I just stumbled on this channel again. I had no idea it was back. Great to see you again. Keep up the great work.
I wasn’t aware he went away either. I got into more of the videos about music, production and living in an RV of all things. I’m just glad it’s popped back into my timeline on UA-cam.
I'm with you Mike! Not a horror movie fan, not ever. I'm so glad you're back! I actually missed you. Not list 25 but you, I'm so happy to see you again.
Compliment sandwich - Mike is back! This is the happiest I've been in a LONG time. Best YT channel ever. Hooper didn't die in Jaws - He and Brody were swimming back in at the end on the "raft". Also, you look absolutely amazing, Mike. You're an inspiration my friend. Keep moving forward ❤️💪🏼

The scariest thing about Candyman was its being shot at the now-demolished Cabrini Green housing project in Chicago, one of the most dangerous locations for urban violence at that time.
The production team even paid the local gangs to be extras in the movie Also, the production trucks were shot at several times during the making of the movie
56 year old Chicago native here. Cabrini Green wasn’t that bad-hey, Mayor Jane Byrne moved in there-for about 3 weeks…. Hahaha. It’s odd to drive by there now and see million dollar condos and townhomes in its place.
The bookshelf falling over in "Ghostbusters" wasn't actually a mistake that was kept in the film. But one thing that is true is that the original librarian ghost prop was deemed too frightening and was recycled for "Fright Night" (1985). Also, the technical director of "Toy Story 2" was named Galyn Susman. But yes, if it wasn't for her working from home, the entire film would've been lost.
Your show is the very first show I watched on the internet when you quit hosting with your friend I quit watching today is the first time in 3 years that I've watched one of your episodes I'm glad to see you're back in my world shows are always fascinating and funny glad to see that it has not changed
I love movies, too, Mike! I have a whole collection in my room! 😃 And, WOW, you sat throughout an entire Hobbit & Lord of the Rings trilogy marathon, AND a 9-movie Star Wars marathon?! TWICE?! Just…WOW!!! 🤯 Although, I feel sad that you don’t like horror movies, because I love them. I always feel so alone when someone says they don’t like horror movies, because there aren’t many people I know who do love them like I do. 🥺 Honestly, for me, I’m not really a big fan of chick-flicks and rom-coms. 😅
I absolutely love this video! Please make another one like this. I will note that all of your videos I have seen are very good, but this one is my favorite so far.
cool fact, the past tense of hanged is still hanged when talking about the act of killing by hanging. Super chill vibes on the video, I really enjoyed it.
My favorite baseball teams are the Red Sox and whoever is playing the Yankees! 😂 Great list btw! However, Heather O’Rourke died at the age of 12 from cardiac arrest! She had previously contracted giardiasis and was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease. The following year she became violently ill from an undiagnosed intestinal stenosis (she never had any signs or symptoms of bowel defects) she survived the surgery, but died of a heart attack shortly after.
V for vendetta originally had someone else playing V. He left filming for reasons that I can't remember off the top of my head. The screenplay was written by the same people as the matrix and I believe the director was also the same. They immediately thought of Hugo weaving as the new V. They had already been filming for 6 weeks before the switch so some shots in the final cut were with the original actor and dubbed over the audio with Hugo.
One of the actors who played a storm trooper in Star Wars lived near me, and his mother would get her prescriptions filled at my job, she told me that he'd gained a little weight during the shoot, and had to be duct taped into his costume for some scenes.
First thing first, I am SOOO hapy your back and your happy and healthy. Now we all know by now that they used real skeletons in Poltergeist. But nobody seems to be asking why the REAL human skeletons were cheaper. WHY WERE THE REAL HUMAN SKELETONS CHEAPER?!?
Matt Hooper did make it into another movie, albeit not a _Jaws_ movie. In _Piranha 3D,_ both the director and Richard Dreyfuss have confirmed that his character is Matt Hooper.

Great Video, Mike. Loved #1 about where Easter Eggs originated. Also, I am completely in agreement with you about horror movies. I just don't understand why anyone would enjoy being scared. Or why a person would watch a movie knowing that it was going to have them nearly jumping out of their skin and possibly causing them to have nightmares about it afterwards. Just seems like the emotions/physical effects that people say they experience while watching those types of movies are something I would generally like to avoid if at all possible. Anyway, it is great to have you back with List 25 and providing great content again. Have a great day!

Another Jurassic Park sound effect fact: when the kids are trying to hide from the dinosaur in the car, the menacing rumbling sound of its approaching footsteps was achieved by having someone lie underneath the car and pluck a bass guitar's strings.
Not for a sound effect, the bass strings were used to get the vibration effect in the cup of water in the car when the trex approached. Simply shaking the car couldn't produce that effect
The last Blockbuster you are referring to was the one I grew up going to, in Anchorage, Alaska. Cannot confirm though, I’ve spent my whole life in the bitter cold of the Great North.
Several of the scenes in the movie Gone Girl were actually filmed in the town where I live in called Cape Girardeau Missouri. Idk if the bar made it into the movie but they redesigned a bar downtown for the movie and actually changed the name for the movie to The Bar. That's even still the name of the bar. A couple other movies shot some scenes here also which is kinda cool.
The filmmakers of Ferris Bueller's Day Off used The Beatles' Twist And Shout recording without permission from the surviving group members, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr and the Lennon estate. Although they got permission from Capitol / EMI records. The scene propelled the single back into the charts at a respectable no. 21, not a bad for a then 23 year old recording.
I'm so happy you're back! I used to watch List 25 with my dad and we loved it.
