I don't know why only actresses in bollywood are seen as representing "india" for women in cinema gala. Come on, jewelry or cosmetic brand ambassadors are not considered as representation of anything cinema related in India. At least film companion among others should put the spotlight on Indian films or films with Indian actors that are actually in competition at cannes. There is an indian filmmaker Payal Kapadia and her film is actually in the competition, how about promoting her film and the actresses.
Actually ive heard more from Kajol during a usual Interview about Cannes, than from Actors AT Cannes. They only talk about Movies n "honored", but not about the festival :-/
I’m sorry but her statements were so vague and general. When Anupama asked also about being and representing women in Cannes …. She was struggling to form a statement.
The woman who did eyecandy item songs like Bijil and Nach Punjaaban which crushes hopes of respectful roles for women in Indian cinema, is now talking about women empowerment
Kiara has never taken risks. NEVER. Iam tired of seeing her in dharma films and the kabir singh types where she's a placeholder and consistently chooses to not push herself
4:54 voices are not seen, they are heard! She didn’t prepare for the interview. Does not convey conviction with her body language when she talks about leaving a mark in Shershah cuz deep down she knows she didn’t
Kiara is a star no doubt and absolutely gorgeous. But pls can someone give her personality. Yes being nice is great but god no humour no conviction and just no pull. And so bloody vague her interviews are.
Anupama mam looks drop dead gorgeous in any outfit. She is so graceful and elegant .Kiara is breathtakingly beautiful. She looks serene in this white outfit.

Kiara is soooooo mid and average. Honestly. I don’t know why she’s there. But then again we have influencers now going to Cannes, sooooo…. Cannes has really taken a downgrade + we don’t know why Aishwarya Rai’s designer is hell bent on disappointing us every year. Sad.
@@viralgoswami6354you think her acting in Mimi was mediocre?? Wow! That fear, anger, anguish that she showed while protecting her child is mediocre to you??
For all good things that Film Companions does, such interviews brings down the credibility of the channel. Interviewing Actors & Actresses,, Influencers who are there as tourists( representing brands & magazine)..what a joke Pls interview the director of the film which is actually there in the competition Payal Kapadia and the films actresses Kani Kusruti & Divya Prabha. Or pls interview Santhosh Sivan who is being honored for his works as ciematograher, the first indian to get so. And here u are interviewing influencers & brand ambassdors. Its Cannes. For once let it be purely abt cinema than about page 3 celebrities.

@@Abc22333 not talking about accent! English skills as in grammar, vocabulary, sentence construction, eloquence of speech and delivery. Got it? Also I wonder why did you say American? Are u secretly impressed by American English? Let me break the bubble for you. Having lived in US, I can tell u that American English sucks. It is not a hallmark standard of English. What you should have been saying instead is British English that is unadulterated English since English is from the Great Britain. Like I shouldn’t have to go anywhere else than india to check quality of Sanskrit, the hallmark of English will always be British English. Even the French don’t speak the finest English (much worse than an average Indian does), but Indians are expected to speak it flawlessly since we grow up speaking it and it is the medium of instruction in most schools. Knowing eng language well is not a sign of colonial slavery rather it is sheer smartness to learn it proficiently even as a second language.
If 'woman is cinema' is represented by her and Urvashi then girls like Konkona Sensharma is probably doing nothing, right? So funny, no more jokes like this please! We anyway pump their egos in the country itself, atleast celebrate the real talents from India when we are in a platform of world cinema.

Guilty was a really good performance
Guilty, lust stories, satyaprem ki katha are risk taking movies, which other actresses could've not taken

Kabir Singh girl talking about Women EMPOWERMENT 😂😂😂
A role is a role. Not real life. Be mature enough to understand that
She also did Satya Prem Ki Katha, isn’t it ?
It was a character. She was acting.
