Nice video, thanks! Glad you mentioned changing the oil every 5K miles. My mechanic recommended that to me several years ago, and those 5k Oil changes have kept the mechanic away.
Great video. I agree with every 5k oil change. However, if under warranty take it in for the first half of the 11k and change it yourself the next half.
I just completed a LQM engine flush and oil change, and used their Ceratec friction modifier, and I absolutely cannot believe the difference. My N55 valvetrain is whisper quiet. It's spooky. In my garage, running, the exhaust sound is so much more present with minimal audible mechanical sound. Mind blowing. I didn't even use their best oil. Mind you, their new GREEN JUG oil, would not require the Ceratec as the additives in that perform the same function. 👍🔥👍🔥
I love the skater long hair Brian. Bring it back! :-) Kies Motorsports is the king of UA-cam BMW DIY! Don't watch anything else. TRUST ME! Brian has been solid AND STILL IS since day 1. And no he didn't pay me to say this and doesn't know me from a can of paint.
What a fabulous video, thank you for being so thorough and clear. How do you pour 6.9 US quarts of oil? Do you round it to 7.0 quarts? The reason I ask is because the 5 Liter bottle has 5.28 US quarts and the single bottle is I believe 1.06 US Quarts. I suppose you can add a 5 Liter and two 1Liter to make it 7? I don't want to add more than what I am supposed to. Thanks for your response.
Great as always Bryan but, I noticed you didn’t confirm the oil level so just curious is there a finally oil dipstick with B58 , as a F30 N55 owner I miss it.
What if you went to a BMW Dealer, and they told you they changed the oil, but in fact, they didn't. How would you be able to tell that they didn't? That happened to me at my local Ford dealer.
The Flat Garage , every 10k is what they recommend . I own a BMW X5 and I never wait that long. I usually get my oil changed every 5000 miles or every 6 months whichever comes first. 0 -20 oil is very thin, an after five or six months my x5 definitely loses power an just don’t drive the same , so I get it changed sooner than 10k even though it’s full synthetic oil. But that’s definitely what they recommend . I even have a oil change warning message that comes on to let me know when I get to 10 k. But I never wait that long .
I got lifetime free oil changes (2x per year) from the dealer so don't need this. But I am curious about the tune on the X7. I didn't see any information on your web site for the X7 tune?
@@bigrahizzle he’s not telling the truth. I own a BMW X5 an they only give once a year oil change. And that’s only because I bought a maintenance plan that cover me for the 1st five years . I usually pay for another oil change 6 months after I get the one that’s included in the maintenance plan that I have. 0-20 oil is thin oil an won’t last a year even though it’s full Synthetic oil.
Finally someone did a video. I had to find out the hard way. Brian good job.

Please please please, Need more videos w/ the X7 :)

Thanks so much! Love the DIY stuff. Can you also do a cabin and engine air filter change?

Its awesome how diligent you are with the car. Wish i had a place like yours here.
Great video! Keep the G07 videos coming.
You should remove the rear left brace and unclip the coolant reservoir tank. Makes taking the filter out easier

Nice video, however you should remove reservoir bottle that is on your way. It is just unclip it and lift proces, to help you access oil filter.
Would love to see a how to on G07/05 diff and transfer case fluid change. It ain't "lifetime"...
Thanks. That’s easy compared to a lot of BMWs
Glad to see you're venturing out with different Bimmers. Any plans to add a G22 on upgrades and basic maintenace? Keep up the great work!
Un clip the harness off the charge air cooler and the filter comes out a lot easier.
