Looks like another location for 2025 trip. We have sea kayaked in the San Juans in the past. Our tent is not free standing and needs staking. That may be interesting on wood platform.
Can’t recommend Desolation Sound enough! If you’ve got the time to do it properly, it’s an incredible place to kayak or power boat. We haven’t had chance to check out the San Juan’s yet but it’s high on our list for sure. So many trips and not enough weekends up here in the PNW.
