THIS IS INCREDIBLE. I'm a tube nut that uses NO pedals...But I have to have this! Perfect for my late night quiet jamming when the wife and kid are sleeping!!!
I can't get sound from the guitar through the headphones I've connected to the iRig. I'm using the free AmpliTube CS software on my iPhone 7+. I can hear the songs I've uploaded from my iPhone 7+ but not the guitar when I play along. The built in tuner reads what I play but the Bose headphones (no volume control) aren't giving me the guitar. Any suggestions? All other volume controls are on - the guitar and the iPhone.
I see this is a pretty old video, I just got the iRig HD 2, and it came with AmpliTube 4. Not sure how much it’s changed with importing songs from iTunes, or any other library. Most are not cleared for import. so that feature is probably not used often. If anybody has an idea how I can import something like Van Halen, any other well-known band, from my iTunes, that would be cool. 🎸👍🏻🇺🇸😎
@FatGuyWithAKatana you move the iphone and it moves the expresion pedal its hard to use it that way or you can use the touch screen but its hard to play and use it
how much did the AmpliTube 2 cost you, is it better then purchasing a multi effects pedal for guitar, can it be also used with GarageBand on iPad? Can you use VST plugins with it?
One question, is it not possible to see the details of the parameters when dialing in effects? I am covering U2 songs most of the time, so it is important for me to see the exact milliseconds of the delay for example.
Wish I would have picked this up years ago. Idk if I would have used it live but man it would be cool to not have to bring pedals to a gig just an amp, speaker and guitar
I'm new into this.. u mean i just need to buy the irig adapter interface ios? then connect to my iphone and the guitar amp and i can get the sound effects just like the bose pedal ?
Yes! And I got a similar tone to one of the BOSS pedals that I had been thinking of buying. But it was on GarageBand, “modern metal.” Haven’t heard anything on AmpliTube that sounded that great yet, for free at least. I’m not planning on buying anything at the moment. Nothing like a real pedal so far. Seems like the heavier sound I dial-in through plug-ins, or third-party audio, there’s still a little latency, and lack of sustain, or the ability to handle an aggressive attack. But I’m still very new to the digital world. So I will keep looking for the time being. 🎸👍🏻😎🇺🇸
plugging in my irig 2 into my ipad is great but it of course drains the battery is there a duel lightening cable adapter to remedy this so i can stay charged and use irig at the same time?
@MrLwliang I'm guessing that there will be an optional expression pedal for that B-) I'm actually considering switching to a more computer friendly system like this from my Line 6 Pod XT Live but I can't really make up my mind between Amplitube and Guitar Rig :/ Can anybody offer me any advice on this point?
those who say it's not that cheap counting the price of the iDevice + the iRig + the app. do you really plan to buy the device only for using it as an amp/ board? that would be useless.
@TheAtomiceM It really does. I own it but only use it for emergency demo situations. I would never use it live! They also have latencey issues... But I am playing guitar through my phone so I'll let it slide.
3:20 "if you would imagine as if it was real it (goes in from the left to the right) just like in the real world. Either Paul is wrong, or it is reverse to the real world. Anybody know which way it is simulated, from left to right or right to left??
I bought the app, you can plug any speaker you want. once I plugged it ion my laptop speaker. obviously the volume not too loud. but it work pretty well..
I can't believe that they do this, or maybe I am reading it wrong. So you can download the App for free but to get to playing it's gonna cost you a big price for everything that you are going to use. Each Effects Pedal "Reverb, Delay or any other Effects costs $2.99 each not counting the Amps that you have to buy and they range from $2.99 to $9.99. I think that they should put the price up front and tell you how much it is going to cost. If I am wrong someone tell me that it is free.
I don't understand the iPad compatibility stuff with this amp. It just seems way too expensive for the sound it offers. I think with my cheap £300 setup I can get a better metal tone.
Interesting to see this tech but for me everything digi sounds like crap! Y'now back in the 50's they got it right first time! gimmie an o'l guitar and an o'l amp. Doesn't get any better than that.
Damn right they did can’t get the past quality so they have to make a guitar, amp and pedal online smh lol what would chuck berry do? Not this I’m sure!
These aps are nice but they are always noisy. The Noise Filter doesn't help much when it kills the sustain.
Kafir is here
Paul is the best, very thorough with whatever he is showing and also a great talent.
use this for almost 2 years without any problem. awesome with blueboard connecting to it. .keep rockin irig!!
Hey Paul . I bought tons of guitars and apps . Blah blah . Lots to learn . Thank you. Doggone, that sounds amazing

you can download from itunes as long as the track is purchased and in your purchased library.

Are you using an amp with this iPad?
I want to use this as a live rig so I need volume
When I connect mine with headphones I get this nasty feedback sound. How do I get rid of it??
Ik this is an old comment lol, but I just got mine and I have the same problem. Did you get a fix for the problem?
Wish I would have picked this up years ago. Idk if I would have used it live but man it would be cool to not have to bring pedals to a gig just an amp, speaker and guitar
Mind and mention the sound from amp your using is a tad better than the sound from your I pad ,
is the clean that bad that u have to cover it up with heaps of flanger?
I'm new into this.. u mean i just need to buy the irig adapter interface ios? then connect to my iphone and the guitar amp and i can get the sound effects just like the bose pedal ?

How much is the software to buy?
plugging in my irig 2 into my ipad is great but it of course drains the battery is there a duel lightening cable adapter to remedy this so i can stay charged and use irig at the same time?
an app for laptop> or android.. and does does it work using adapters
Will any tablet work for JAMUP apps or must I buy an iPad?
why version 2? version 3 has been out for ages..
does this HAVE to be plugged into an i-device to work? or can i plug guitar in, headphones out, and just get the clean guitar sound in my headphones?
Yes, I use it with my headphones all the time and it sounds great.
irig nano amp does that and also supports the app, best of both worlds.
Is this free app? Or need to buy after installation.
The app is free but there is purchasable content in the form of name brand amp and pedal emulators
you must have your ipod plugged into an external amp i assume?
What kind of amp are you using there
@MrLwliang I'm guessing that there will be an optional expression pedal for that B-) I'm actually considering switching to a more computer friendly system like this from my Line 6 Pod XT Live but I can't really make up my mind between Amplitube and Guitar Rig :/ Can anybody offer me any advice on this point?
Does this thing work on a MacBook?
unfortunately no.
Does it come with iValves?
What happened at 00:46
*Burp*
Do we get to step on the ipad for wah pedal? haha
Does it work with Garageband for iPad?
+Treasure Musix Yes!

The lead is great !
He finally starts to play @ 7:45.
Hey it's Paul from GuitarWorld, and my hand is shaking ;)
I bought the app, you can plug any speaker you want. once I plugged it ion my laptop speaker. obviously the volume not too loud. but it work pretty well..
Straordinario .
starts playing about 8:50
Good video
@FingerBoard420 Haha yeah! I was wondering if anyone else did
You could plug Paul into a baby blanket and he'd still find a way to make it sound like a knife against teeth
didnt sound so great, but i really liked how you could import a song and slow it down and stuff
@leddeath80 nope around 4:40
this guy its awsome!

Watching this in 2022
wow.I like it,
@ZocMD But your not first bud
@blackjackbeast09 Yeah, I agree that this sounds horrid. You should check out Peavey Ampkit, same concept, sounds much better though.
Hi(moves head to right) My Name (moves head to left) Is Paul (Moves head up)
touch the knob then move up or down with your finger*
Might be handy on the road, but it'd probably kill my phone so fast.
GREAAATTT!!
The Garage Band 2 thing I like a little bit better.
I don't understand the iPad compatibility stuff with this amp. It just seems way too expensive for the sound it offers. I think with my cheap £300 setup I can get a better metal tone.
i want an iRobot version...
save the 800 on an ipad and 100 for the software and buy a 6505 or mark 5
its also for your eye
I really enjoyed singing from Ez Voice because I love singing.
Riario thats a cool last name :)
did any one else see how much his hand was shaking?
Too bad mine doesn't work);
Plugged it into my iPhone I couldn’t hear shit until I put headphones in
he got sick of saying iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad so he said "your apple device
He shuts up at about 4:40
😲🎸👍
I would prefer iGroupies! :)
iHerpes
@blackjackbeast09 You are aware they didn't make this app, right?
Minute 10:00
sounds like 316
Sure, forget the bass players.
@sonicjimi how is it cheap?! an ipod cost $500 plus a data plan. not to mention the cost of the application and irig.
@OliOsbourne does the App come with a free iPad 2? lol JK
im a bass player :(
everyone forgets the bass players lol

I wonder why your hands (specially fingers) shake so much.
Less talky more playing next time so we can actually hear what the darn thing sounds like!!!
Too much bla bla
Amplitube sounds like shit.
Interesting to see this tech but for me everything digi sounds like crap! Y'now back in the 50's they got it right first time! gimmie an o'l guitar and an o'l amp. Doesn't get any better than that.

i think he forgot to say that you can plug it into a iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad
