Keep in mind that I've only used it for a couple weeks, that being said, so far so good ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxAU9pOCSV9Y5JprooHvfxTpOrt4hx8uRM . Using it at 8 ft. by 8ft. deer blind that is insulated. I have to keep the door cracked for it to get enough air to burn, but that is very likely the wood I've used. Much better quality than I expected for the price. Now if I can just take it easy in the beginning it won't be 90 degrees in my blind. All in all it seems like a keeper.
Best salesman EVER!
I mean who can compete with this dude😄👌
Just moved into a house with this stove. This video was awesome. Thank you!
You will love your esse xx
Check out the Facebook loving my esse pages for other esse owners
Beautiful! You can deliver it this afternoon! Thank you, I love it❤️
I am looking forward to more cooking video's, its what really sells these stoves over buying a conventional stove.
This was a very helpful video. Thank you for taking the time to put it together.
A fantastic stove I really really like one of these stoves hello from Ireland 👍☘️🇮🇪
Best firelighters are gum leaves but I suppose as I cut my own trees down for wood I always have the tree tops from last year for kindling. I just had a new wood fire heater put in last year Norseman legend 2 but want a new kitchen wood cooker and you’ve sold me on this one. Thank you for this.
Great video brother I wish other manufacturers would do the same thing
Thank you
Excellent, best Esse video yet. Thank you.
Thank you
What a great stove and heat source. Looks efficient and beautiful.
Wow ! Really impressed !
Brilliant video, thank you
👍 thank you for your CLEAR INSTRUCTIONS 👌 we going to visit your shop & we will buy this Beautiful STOVE🙏 to replace our old GRAHAME wood stove. g'day
Nice stove, oven combo
Great video!
Very enjoyable and imformative. The correct seasoning oil debate has me confused. Surely this dude would know what the best oil is.
Extra virgin olive oil does not have a high smoke point and is not appropriate for this use.
EDIT: I stand corrected EVOO is the best for this use and most any other food oil use.
Should start a good fire though.
Lard
If you're cooking old school on cast iron get your shit together and do it right. Lard.
Avocado oil would work as well
Indeed, what bad advice he is giving, thumbs down from me. Canola Oil is good.
The Esse seems more controllable than the Rayburn, i have a Rayburn. great explanation ! thanks. ( i probably would have gone for the Esse instead after seeing this, but oh well never mind) thanks, take care
Much cheaper as well.
@Brexit Monger hello, yep your right it does not circulate under, and if the stove has only been on for a few hours it cooks a little uneven ( more to the left of the oven) but when it has been on all day a lovely even cook. cheers and take care
In the case of the new Bakeheart stove, since you are using the whole top surface as the stovetop, should you season the whole top or just the central circular hotplate? I am thinking actually does it need seasoning at all as because of the ring design you can't treat it as a cooking surface as you can with the Ironheart can you? The one significant downside to the ring design.
Such a cool stove.... I like wood burning stoves so much they are so much better than gas stoves and electric stoves and unique looking
My hound loves seasoning time. Grab a piece of bacon and throw it on the hot plate. After about thirty seconds rub it around on the top of the hot plate. Then take the bacon off and throw it to your dog... Plus it makes your kitchen smell good, too.
Get buttered bread and tomato sauce for that bacon share with Dog
رررروعة 👌👌👍💐
لو قريبين كنت اشتريه من عدكم 😒😥
If you want heat for the house is it best to keep the oven diverter on so more of the stove gets hot?
i used a slab of side pork to season mine
I really like the hotplate cooking, it seems such an intuitive way to cook, for example dropping back from boiling down to a simmer looks like it would be very intuitive, like a sliding scale across the hotplate. As well as cooking directly on the hotplate itself, I really want to cook Massive pancakes on it though I suspect this stove might be out of my saving reach.
You can absolutely cook directly on the hot plates
I watched until the end hoping you would explain the purpose of the lids? over the burners? @@pivotstove
Love this stove if every one. In USA cook this way all the trees be gone nice stove
You'd use the dead wood in a stand of trees. We are always clearing the dead wood, stacking and drying for our use. No live trees are used, nor should they be.
Very nice.
Very beautiful
I'm wondering...do they sale those wood cooking stove in the US🇺🇸?...
Yes, Obidiahas
非常结实的一个炉子。直接燃烧,浪费的热能非常大。
A very strong stove. Direct combustion wastes a lot of heat energy.
Will sesame oil work well for seasoning, that's how I do my pans and love the flavor
Perfect
Greg we have one can you retro fit a back boiler?
Hi can you please tell me how much to buy one of these stoves
Okay the two space like objects over the burners, what purpose do they have? And what is under the oven, is it a warming oven below?
Hiya, Thanks for the interesting and informative videos, which were instrumental in us buying an Ironheart. Unfortunately we couldn't buy from you as it seemed a bit daft to ship one from Australia back to the UK!
Esse UK seem pretty rubbish in their comms with customers so I'd like to ask you a couple of questions if I may?
We're burning dry hardwood, but seem to have terrible trouble with then door glass blackening? Any tips on how to regulate the burn to help stop that (we're not burning it shut right down)?
Also, we're running the thing at 150-200 degrees C according to the stove thermometer I've put on the front of the stove up by the oven 'on/off' switch, but the flue thermometer that I've put on the stovepipe is only showing about 100, pretty much regardless of what the fire's doing?!
Any tips gratefully recieved, and thanks again for the great videos...
Hi NIck
If you use the top air control : the one over the door, you will find the glass will get clean
if you are getting a "shiny" black on the glass, its your wood - shiny black is a sign of wet wood.
try this 1st, and you will see a huge difference
To clean the soot from the glass, use a damp cloth with some ashes from the stove on it. You'll be amazed! :-D
Nice one!!! What the price?
Mine only came with one oven rack and one rack for the fire box. Is that standard ?
Do you need to leave the fire burning overnight, to make eggs in the morning? Can you leave stew in the oven, cooking, over night?
What size turkey can the oven hold
Stove, not noisy, I have one, great bit of kit,🤠
Hi Keith. How long have you owned your stove? How often have you cleaned it? It does not appear as friendly to clean as my Home Comfort kitchen wood stove. I'm not sure I am strong enough to lift those hobs. Please comment on your experience Thanks!
The hot plate is HEAVY, but gives you good access to top of oven cavity and firebox for cleaning.
New stoves look ever so pretty as demo in video.
After 10 years of daily battering, ours still works fine, but a little rough round the edges. Still original glass in door, ropes replaced twice, firebox baffle replaced FOUR times and the vermiculite panels at same time.
The hot plate gets mighty hot over the firebox and sagged so not good pan contact. ESSE advised replacement but tried reversing and works fine. Just poor contact over the oven now but if simmering then matters not.
Thanks for replying. I heard somewhere that that th e hobs are heavy and I'm over 65. My Home Comfort was built in 1930 and still going strong! If the time comes for a new kitchen wood stove, i am watching my friend put a Kitchen Queen through its paces.
Где купить такую печь? ПОЖАЛУЙСТА ПОДСКАЖИТЕ.
Hi Keith how much does it cost for one of these stoves please hello from Ireland 👍☘️🇮🇪
None in Saskatchewan?
A great replacement for the hugely inefficient electric AGA that we only use to occasionally roast a chicken in! 😂
ok gonna ask a stupid question. The covers on the hot plate what are they called and the use for them? thanks.
They are called bolster lids..
Good for trapping heat
Question; if you have a big cold chimney/ flu will the stove allow smoke to escape until the chimney/ flu is hot?? I had a bad experience with these new wood stoves not air tight allowing smoke to fill the room till flu is hot. Had to return it.
sjhtrueblue i have the same problems, when it was new,no problems,But now, soon as I open the door, smoke pours out,😡😡😡😡 it is on a twin walled chimney as well,
sjhtrueblue light a piece of paper hold it as close to flue , you will warm the air ,warm or hot air flows up pull a draft , hence no more smoke in the house
We did that nothing worked. These new models are horrible. I like the older fisher wood burning stoves.
The flue is critical on all wood stoves.
If it's not installed correctly, you won't get the draught.
Also, if installed in a new home, you will need to look at ensuring there is enough air for your stove to work.
The esse ironheart is available with an outside air intake for new homes
available in the US?
olive oil has no high smoke point.
I was just going to reply that!
Супер печки. Это моя мечта.
I have seen video where they said you can use coal? And if so could you do video on burning coal
you can buy the multi fuel kit for the ironheart if you wish to burn coal
Why not design with wood handles?
What about one with a water boiler?
OK a couple of questions my wife and I just purchased a mobile home in southwestern Missouri can you use these stoves in a mobile home and are they good for heating the home as well as cooking we’re very curious for a response
Most insurance companies will not insure your mobile home if you have a wood stove in it.
You can install a wood stove in a mobile home, as long as it's a tested and approved stove.
The esse ironheart is pretty big for a mobile home, we would suggest to checkout the esse bakeheart
@@pivotstove انا من العراق هل يمكن شحنها الى العراق وكم تكلف شكرا
Cleaning out?
Does the mesh screen come with the stove ?
Yes it does
Olive oil has a very low burning point, you need something like canola oil
How do you use it when the summertime wouldn’t get hot in the house?
Absolutely it will get hot : the Esse Ironheart is winter cooker.
most people also have an induction hot plate or a BBQ for those hot summer days
I want this stove
ااريد وحدة ممكن اعرف كم سعر وشكرا
جزيلا
Thanks its a really beautifull stove
Does it draw air from the room or from an exterior vent?
The ironheart can be optioned with an outside air vent
Almost all News Print Companies use Soybean Based inks as of over 20 years ago. It's not the ink, it is the paper used to conform with those natural inks that is the issue.
apakah alat ini bisa untuk memasak di daerah tropis seperti indonesia?
The fire starters are environmentally friendly and get her “hot” quickly.......interesting.
Could you use it during the summer?
It is a winter product
Although you can trap the heat with the bolster lids closes, and the screen over thr firebox.
On a hot day.. it not something you would "fire up"
Щикарная печь Мне бы такую
Can you get them with a back boiler?
Yes you can.
A domestic hot water jacket that will heat up to 400ltr hot water service
would you leave the lids up overnight?
If you want more heat overnight.. yes
how big an area can this stove keep warm?
150 to 180m2
@@pivotstove Sorry I'm a bit new to all this so when you say 150m2, does it mean a living area 10 by 15? so we don't take into account the height?
Good morning! Where are you located?
do they sell in New Zealand?
Yes ..
If you contact Yunca wood heating or pyroclassic, they sell the esse cookers in NZ
@@pivotstove Thanks...also are these multifuel? coal/wood
Lovely stove.do you ship to the UK please?
Esse stoves are made in england
Check out esse.com for your closest stockiest
olive oil doesnt have a high burn temp, smoke temp. try veg oil instead. it is way better for seasoning.
Is this from the same Esse knife maker?
No...
can I use smokeless anthracite coal in my Esse?
More information about the multi-fuel possibilities of the ESSE range can be found on their website www.esse.com/
I already did but it doesnt answer my question thank you@@pivotstove The online brochure too small writing
How do they work for a 2000 square house
They are a cooker that heats 80m2
For a home that large you would require other forms of heat to heat up your house
Crikey you used a weeks kindling there, 4 or 5 pieces gets our stove going.
lol I cringed when he did that. a couple should do the job. I can never find enough kindling
How much
Can a turkey fit in the oven? Also can you put a piece of coal in it to keep it hot I saw that on another vid where someone put 2 coals at night.
Yes... and yes
Better keep an eye on children near this beast of a stove.
Olive oil has one of the lowest burn temps
Cuestion how much cost the stove
Hi Enrique, our pricing for the ESSE Ironheart is at the bottom of this page: pivotstove.com.au/catalogue/cook/wood-stoves/esse-ironheart/
Should be using higher smoke point oils
Where can I buy spare parts here in the US?
Hi Jim, ESSE North America's Spare PArts are available here: www.essestoves.ca/spare-parts/
@pivotstove any other places? This company is so shady! They want bank amount transfers and you can't use a credit card.
Celsius degrees! Thank you! the world should be metric once and for all
