Thanks for the overview! I’m considering buying this machine as I wanted something that has cover stitch capabilities as well as serging. This info was very helpful!
look for a guy named Vince J.Arcuri here' here on youtube and has the best videos . super detailed, long but it's better than much classes or instructions. If you have the time please do it. he has so many videos on this machine. He's the best and a huge PLUS for sewing community . very precise, very patiente, smart, speak slowly , close up videos of the highest qualities. try and let me know. good luck
I had this machine per years and was hard to sew the threads get tangled in and I don’t know to work with the levels type of fabric... I’m feeling so frustrated
I just received mine today and had a request for the Cover Stitch 2 needle video and how is the end tied off or notted? ie like a backstitch? Appreciate the direction! Thank you!
Is there a stretch coverstitch and/or serger overcast stitch on this machine? I'm trying to use this to make stretchy knit garments, bathing suits, bras, etc. Also, how does it compare to the singer overstitch-only machine which I've heard is terrific. thanks!
Hi! Thank you could you possibly do a video more in depth about how to use the knife while serving, I can not get my knife to cut the fabric at all so I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, I attached it just as you showed on this video, Thanks again!!
Your video is 4 yrs old I just bought mine march 2023 $549. No free 6 accessory feet from how do I know if I was given a refurbished machine.mine was advertised as new?
Does this machine have removable covers on the left to do free arm type stuff? sorry about the lack of technical wording, just shopping for my wifes xmas gift. thanks
Justin Welch I was wondering the same thing when shopping, but unfortunately this machine does not have a free arm capability, so cuffs need just a little more work than one that has a free arm.
A review at sergerpro.com said there is a free arm "Built-in Free Arm: By simply sliding the removable accessory compartment off the serger, you can transform the work area into a free arm." see sergerpro.com/singer-14t968dc-review/.

Barbara Fernandez-It’s actually not. The Singer Professional 5 does NOT have a free arm, I know because I own one. It’d be nice to have one for sure, but it’s not a listed feature and I’d hazard a guess that anyone who left a review saying there is one probably either doesn’t know what a free arm is, or left a fake review to drive more business to whatever site it’s listed on.
I need a video about how use 3 thread overlock. This is giving me hard time. I thought was ready to use and I press to start and it doesn't work but the light turns on, and I don't know what happened. Please help😔😔
As I remember there is a mistake in english manual. Propably that's why you have problems with that. What You need to do in order: - Tension - J, - Stitch Finger - R, - Upper looper disengaged (position C, !look at sticker inside machine how to do it), - knife disengaged (! do not unscrew just pull and turn) Threding: 1. chain st. looper (brown), (look at sticker inside machine how to do it) 2. needle E (green), '/' / / | | '|' | | '|' 3. needle D (blue) , / '/' / | '|' | | '|' | 4. needle C (orange). / / '/' '|' | | '|' | | Maybe it will help someone.
I Just baught thıs machıene and ıt makes me really crazy. I am profı and never got so complıcated overlock . I wıll send ıt back and never ever agaıın.
Didn’t help at all … looking for how to thread the red thread slit when I get to the part by the needle can’t find the last slit for thread just before thread goes threw the needle…?
Doesn't show the full threading of the lower looper and cuts to commercial. Gave it a thumbs down and it would not register the thumbs down. Just said it would share with originator?
Will you please do more videos on this machine, specifically in the COVERSTITCH OPTION🙏🙏🙏🙏
You can actually pull the knife out and up to switch it to a serger. You don’t necessarily have to unscrew it
I need a video on how to set this for a triple cover stitch, or just some close ups of threading it
Would love more videos on this machine. There isn’t much out there and I’ve been struggling just to get going.

That intro music was dope bro!
Would like a video on the six added presser feet. THANKS
Can you do more videos on the SINGER | Professional 5 14T968DC? I'd like to see you do a coverstitch on very stretchy fabric like jersey for dresses.

I bought my wife the singer Quantum Sylist 9960 for her birthday, is this a good addition to her sewing machine?
I think it would be a great addition. I really love this machine. It’s super reliable and has so many different features.

Does this machine come out of the box already threaded to do some tie threading?
I should've kept watching the video before I asked the question. Thank you.
I have a singer pro finish server it only has 4 thread spool does that have a cover stitch on it?
The Professional 5 is the only Singer serger with a cover stitch mode.
I bought the Singer ProFinish yesterday. I should have bought this one instead.
Can you make a video to show how to cross stitch using this machine?
Does this work with denim?
How does your machine work now
Do a video on cover stitch only.
Do you know of a carrying case that this fits in?
Not sure if I should buy this machine or the singer quantum 9960?
Is necesary to sew in a sewing machine for general use, The serger and coverstitch is an accesory

@@Pianotech520 Ok, thanks for the info. Gonna get the slightly older Singer 14HD854

Is it normal for it to smell kinda like burnt while being used? Smells goes away when i stop using but comes back when in use. But its a weird smell
Mine don`t smell like this. Be sure is not an electrical problem inside the machine with a technician review
